...and yet all I've heard all day is about Man Utd overhauling our league title record yesterday. On the radio, forums, every broadsheet, interviews with Ryan Giggs etc

They're away to Blackburn next week. Blackburn are putting together a decent (for them) run of form together and are fighting for their premiership survival (I hope they play that lump Samba up front against Evans). Man Utd have won only 5 games away from home all season.

Lose that and under intense pressure they'll play the unpredictable Blackpool in the final game of the season with Holloway's attack-minded team likely to need to win to survive.

They haven't won anything yet.

I actually don't care at all. They can have nr 19 all they like. Its what happens in the future that is interesting.

Bump. They've still won nothing yet.

Come on Blackburn, you're more than capable of getting a home win against a relatively poor (for them) utd side. I'd love it if they go into the last game at Blackpool needing a point against a side needing a win to stay up. Samba to score the winner.......

Manchester United supporters have begun a campaign on fans' forums and on Twitter to get the Paul Hardcastle song 19 to No1 in the charts for this Sunday, when United may have already been crowned champions for the 19th time by beating Blackburn Rovers.

The song, first released in 1985 and highlighting the average age of soldiers who fought in the Vietnam war, costs 79p to buy from iTunes and it is expected that 30,000 downloads would be enough to top the UK singles chart.

United's fierce rivalry with Liverpool is the chief motivation behind the move. The Merseyside club is currently level on 18 titles with United, whose fans need little encouragement to crow about their impending record 19th title. Sir Alex Ferguson's statement in an interview with the Guardian in 2002 that his greatest achievement was "knocking Liverpool right off their fucking perch" is seen as another reason why United fans want to attract maximum publicity to this title win.

Well how gutted will I be when 19 tops the charts ? Fucking not at all the dopey Manc twats. Paul Hardcastle will be made up though.

I think it means so much for them. What they don't understand is that now that we have got Kenny back - its not going to be a long lasting record and hopefully we will be able to put night and day between our teams in the years that kenny will be in charge of us.

I'm not prepared to rely on results so it seems the options are:

A) they go into administration
B) I go to ewood and incite a riot, leading to a point deduction.

I've just put a fiver on chelsea to win the league. 100/1. I know but the spirit of Istanbul an all that.

Me too. It's often the case that if everyone involved blindly assumes that something will happen, the opposite is constellated.

It's a psychological truth of sorts.

Robinson gave away a needless peno. Rooney equalizes from the spot.

'Are you watching Merseyside' they sing. Fucking cunts.

What's Everton got to do with it?

Blackburn can still get relegated can't they? I hope they do after that performance!

Let them have their moment - I think its rather funny - its taken them 20 years to catch up and overtake us. From next season they need another reason to succeed and better the 19 titles - except there is no reason now is there ? Oh well - I guess its time for us to win the next 10, which I think we will now.

So that's how they get number 19. In a complete farce, embarrassing, and fitting way for them to do it, with Blackburn not even trying to win the ball for 15 minutes!

Ah well, Kenny please put those horrible cunts back in their place next year!

Both sides happy with a point... 15 minutes of square shit passing in their respective halves. Great advertisement for the game.

I have never seen that done so blatantly. The Premier League should fine both clubs heavily. Fans pay a lot of money for the privilege of watching the game and they are entitled to see a football match - not a charade.

EDIT: Silly me! . . . . . not a fine but a points deduction! ;D

Yup they can, which makes their decision to stand pat even more ridiculous. Okay, I understand that a point against the Mancs is a bonus and they have a superior goal difference, but still, all except West Ham below them can still beat their 40-point total if they win their games in hand and Blackburn lose away to Wolves.

It might still come back and bite them on the arse.

I didn't notice Martin Tyler make any kind of critical comment while all that shit was going on. What a wuss!

Yep that was an embarrassment. Martin Tyler is not doing his job then, they where saying how sad and pathetic it looked here.

Anyway, fuck it. we are on the up, finally getting our shit sorted after 20 years of bollocks and false dawns.

They still have shite owners, a manager when he leaves will leave a near impossible hole to fill... thats going to fuck them up too...There is a good chance the tide will turn. if G & h were still here this would be a million times worse.

Be sweet to batter them next season, we've got a good chance too! Really looking forward to it! Thank god for Kenny and Henry giving us hope again.

Cunts. Utter cunt of a manager, numerous cunty players and the most cuntish supporters in existence.

What an absolute cunt of a club.
