Tim Vickery's view on this.

Worth tuning in to?
It's an interesting view and a quite neutral one.
It's down the middle as far as I see it.

what I want to know is, do clubs educate players from foreign countries with regards to fa rules when they arrive as ignorance obviously is no longer a defense.
I dont think you need a course to know that you dont call a black man negro and pinch his skin in a heated debate.

'Ooooohhh so i SHOULDNT call women ho's?'
Yeah, but if you're just referring to the part he admitted, he didn't call him negro, he called him black.
And I think it is also completely misguided to think that the pinch was a racial reference/ action. Was pulling Nani's hair racial?

I think it looks that way if you've decided he was being racist. Evra didn't even mention the pinch. Carlo Ginzberg: "the historian reads into [things] what he has already learned by other means, or what he believes he knows, and wants to 'demonstrate'".

Was he pinching that skin because it was black, or was he acting like a wee bastard who nips people or gives them a sly tug of the hair to wind them up? On the latter count he has previous. On the former, none. As I said above, the misinterpretation of that pinch has influenced the FA's reading massively.
He didnt pull Nani's hair Herr doctor.
Maybe he should be told that in the FA rules you arent supposed to pull hair or pinch then white or black.

Hes clearly confused about a lot of the rules.
I think he said he pinched Evra's as a response to him threatening to punch him, showing him that he's not "untouchable" either. I can't believe there was anything racist in that pinch. But then again, I chose to believe to Suarez version.

The media however, keep replaying that moment every time the 'racism' is mentioned. It has been interpreted as a racist pinch, as confirmation that Suarez was abusing Evra on the basis of his skin.

Can I just add please I was clearly taking the piss re native Indian, sozza if it caused offence ento themn I think that's a whoooooosh for you.

Ltw I agree with the post and a number of others you made re this issue, was messing re controversial and etc.

Also note that It's been reported we wanted high level meetings with manure to try and settle the issue, fergie has said maybe they should have asked us not the papers. He will use this to dig at us as much as possible

Where did Evra first bring up this whole argument, if not in the media ?

Whether Evra was offended or not, I'm not so sure.

But like I said earlier, questioning his right to be offended is not something I agree with.

We will come good after trying to restore peace, but there is no doubt that our agenda is to hush down opposition fans. Would we have appreciated it if Fergie and Man U was to lay premisses from what should come from the Kop?

Do I really deserve the 'English' bit mate? 🙂

(If any English people took offense, please forgive me. I just got 14 PMs for various Irish posters who've offered their citizenship to me for some reason)

Fowler in race storm as he 'blacks up' for Twitter photo:

Robbie Fowler has caused a Twitter storm after posting a picture of himself 'blacked up' - as the Luis Suarez race row continues to rage.

The Anfield legend, now player-manager of Thai Premier League club Muangthong United, write on the social network site: "80's theme fancy dress 2 years ago... Any guesses. Not Chris Kamara."

His Tweet was branded ill-judged and insensitive in light of the ongoing row over Suarez's eight-game ban for racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra during a Premier League match last year.

Tweeter Louise Brown said: "I think Robbie Fowler posting a photo of himself blacked up really isn't doing #LFC any favours right now."

He's Lionel Richie in case you were wondering

Has Fowler anything to do with LFC these days? I mean on a professional level is he linked with the clubs?

I've never really understood that... How can it be racist to go as a black man to fancy dress? So white people can't go to fancy dress as a black person, and vice versa?

Me neither. I'm sure this kind of nonsense does far more harm than good to the cause of anti-racism.

For someone living in Greece and that, you have surprisingly little time for the Greeks, Ruari.

I think there's some historical connotations from the 19th century. White people used to do that in theatre shows and give really stupid offensive performances of black people. Something like that.

Minstrel was the word I was after.

black people have to go as white people at fancy dress parties because all the good characters are white. all we have is black panther and blade.

I am quite sure he alone scored more than our present squad added up together? Thats proffesional!

It's only cause I live here. I have little time for people back home when I'm there too!

When questioned on reports that Liverpool would like peace talks at the club's press conference on Friday, Ferguson said: "It is nice of them to do it through the press.

"You would have thought they would come to Manchester United first. I do not see why there is any need for it but I have nothing to say about it."

The cunt has a point , it's never wise to go through the press with anything (if that is indeed the case here). But he's obviously having a sly dig also and not really helping things . I'll be honest , the club have clusterfucked so much of the handling of this issue but at the same time i'm tired of the kicking we're taking, especially from media gits who wouldn't know morals if they kicked them in the bollocks .

there's also;
falcon (captain america's partner)
luke cage
cyborg
simon phoenix (from demolition man)
and then I'm struggling

you see why black people dress up as white heroes
