Matip has to start.

Fuck resting anyone, we need to get back into the groove again.

Karius

Clyne
Matip
Lovren
Milner

Henderson
Wijnaldum
Lallana

Ojo
Firmino
Coutino

Origi and Sturridge can't play on the wing, time to play someone who's more comfortable in that position. So play Ojo.
If Clyne is still recovering play TAA.

What a dude

Virgil Tracey has gone off injured so he probably won't be available, which is nice.

It also means they can buy sakho for lots of money too

Yays all around

Karius Clyne Matip Lovren Moreno Henderson Milner Lallana Coutinho Origi Firmino

4-3-1-2

Yeah I'd be inclined to go with this.

Saint Agatha:

Agatha was a virgin who dedicated herself to God. Unfortunately, a Roman prefect named Quintianus set his lustful eyes on her. When she rejected his advances, she was persecuted, first by being thrown into a brothel. When even a stint in the brothel didn’t change her mind, Quintianus ordered Agatha’s breasts be cut off. He refused her any medical treatment, but when Agatha was in her cell, she saw a vision of Saint Peter, who restored her breasts and healed her wounds.

Eventually, Quintianus ordered Agatha be put to death by being rolled naked across a bed of hot coals. While she was being tortured, an earthquake suddenly occurred and the walls collapsed, killing two men, both of whom had played a major role in her torture. Agatha was then returned to her cell, where she died from her wounds.

That Brewster lad looks veeery promising.
Let him be on the bench either now or against Wolves.

Clyne had a shocker on Saturday, perhaps he was put back in the side a tad earlier than ideal because TAA had already played twice in a week. So wack the kid back in and hopefully Clyne will be ready for Chelsea .

THis was on the BBC news ticker - pretty much sums it up

Big week for Liverpool coming up – they could make the final of the EFL Cup, progress in the FA Cup and cut the gap between themselves and Chelsea by beating the league leaders next Wednesday.
Of course it’s one thing saying it, quite another to do it – but all three games are at Anfield, so getting the home dominance back for these three matches could really shape their season.
Swansea not only put a dent not only in their unbeaten home record on Saturday, but perhaps also gave hope to Southampton, Wolves and Chelsea. Liverpool can’t afford to be conceding three goals at home to any team, and they’ll need to find ways of getting past teams that sit deep.
It’ll be a fine balancing act on Wednesday against Southampton in the EFL Cup where they start the second leg trailing on aggregate. They don’t need to go all out for goals – the deficit is only one when it might have been more – but a goal for Southampton could make it very difficult.
Liverpool have certainly got goals in them, so what price three clean sheets over the next eight days?

Coutinho and Clyne were not in the pics from tonights training according to the Twitterati.

Ings must be really cursing his luck (again). This last month has really highlighted how poor a season both Origi and Sturridge are having. Frustrating all round and leaves us with some difficult decisions to make in the summer.

I think we need to play our best team and ensure the tempo stays high. Maybe bring in someone like Ojo as a substitute for Mane's pace because thus far the Sturridge / Origi experiments haven't worked.

I'd rather we played a 4-4-2 if Origi or Sturridge are likely to feature.

When we're 2-0 up on Wednesday and have to start time wasting, we can learn from the best.
Like a boss.

Hansern - that is proper training - Jedi Master time wasting - question is have our players got the brains to do that ?

Karius
TAA Matip Lovren Milner
Henderson
Wijnaldum Lallana
Studge Firmino Coutinho

It is POINTLESS playing Studge and Frimino together as it necessitates playing one of the on the flank for x minutes - which means, you're losing a player for that period of tiem too.

Defense - ok
Midfield 3 - ok

I'd start Wilson, or Ojo ... instead of Studge. Why? Because they'll be able to do more on the flank than either Firmino or Studge, and most likely give us something we're lacking right now ... pace.

Play a winger on the wing, and either firmino OR Sturridge in the middle

Give Ojo a chance to be a regular contender

The issue of pace - or rather lack of it in the absence of Mane - has been discussed at length on various blogs and websites, with Aldo suggesting an advanced position for TAA, and even some (possibly satirical) calls for Moreno to play as a left winger.

I'm not that bothered, as long as Matip is back and we at least think about Lallana moving back into the midfield three.

I think we'll win and get through to the final. Not worried or nervous at all.

No idea why, but all this chat about "team summits" and our poor form, aswell as Klopp's recent interviews, just make me think there'll be a pretty impressive response and we'll batter them.
