Liverpool star would be happy if Real Madrid made an offer, claims agent

ALBERTO MORENO’S agent says the Liverpool defender would welcome interest from Real Madrid in January.

By Rhys Turrell / Published 1st December 2015
The Spaniard was linked with a Bernabeu switch last week as the club seek to solve their left-back crisis.
Real are without first-choice Marcelo and have been considering a January replacement.
And despite being happy on Merseyside, Moreno’s agent Javier Moya admits his client will be listen to Madrid if they come calling.

"If Real Madrid were to make an offer that would make him really happy," Moya told Radio 4G.
But Liverpool would have to take the first step.
"If a team as important as Real Madrid were to speak with us and Liverpool were satisfied with the operation, we would talk.
"He's getting to know another culture and playing in one of the most important leagues. And, above all, he's in the first team.

"Inquiring about an important player is logical, that is normal. Important teams from Spain and other places are asking. It's difficult.
"Everyone knows the importance of Real Madrid but Liverpool have five European Cups."
Moreno is a regular feature in Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool team after struggling for a start under former boss Brendan Rodgers earlier this season.

I've just read an interview where he saying under Klopp we will fight for the title this season.

Strange thing to say if he's looking to leave.

I doubt he is actively looking to leave but the Madrid link would obviously interest him.

I'm 50/50 on Moreno. He excites and frustrates on equal parts at times.

He was all over the place and clueless last season but defensively he is getting better and better, thats got to be down to better coaching if you ask me. I hope he keeps improving

^^^^ This. Sometimes he looks the bomb. Other times he just frustrates. I like him though. If he went how much do you think he would go for?

There's interest from Real Madrid, his agent would be a fool not to use that interest to either force a move, or to force the club to give him a bigger contract, I suspect the latter is what's happening here.

I'm sick of this angling for a better contact after a couple of good performances nonsense.

Give us good season first Alberto

Just some agent angling for ££... Well timed after reports show Liverpool paid most agent fee in 2015.

What player, especially a non catalonian Spaniard wouldnt be happy to be linked with real Madrid?

He can fuck off. He owes us more than about decent performances or so.
I just don't see the need to feel angry or hurt by these statements.
Real Madrid are the current pinnacle of where a footballer can ply his trade. In what other industry wouldn't this be okay?
We all have these expectations that the players love the club as much as we do. And they might! But when you have a relatively short time in which to maximize your earning potential, even allegiances to favorite clubs means relatively little.
It's a non-issue.It's just a fact of footballing life that has been there for some time now - you'll just have to get used to it.
I agree with @darkstarexodus about the fee though. Madrid happily pay massive wages and inflated transfer fees. So we should be getting some of that.

Why are people so quick to demonise him when there are no directs quotes from him?
It's not like he has pulled a Suarez or Sterling on us.

Let's stop being so bloody insecure about our players being linked with other clubs. The more success we have, the more big clubs will sniff around our players – this is completely normal. This doesn't mean all our players are traitors, it's just agents doing their job. If we sort out everyone's contracts in a timely manner, and resist low release clauses (something Dortmund has been burned with initially), then having our players on the radar of clubs like Real and Barca will strengthen our position, not weaken it.

Cant help it. Spanish players are desperate to wear the Madrid jersey even if they get no game time and screw up their career. Sergio Canales, Illaramendi were considered the next big stars from Spain until they moved to Madrid.

Actually he may think he is on borrowed time here at LFC so i can understand him if he wants to move. But also he maybe thinking fuck i jave to work like a dog here while in madrid he will get a few games jere and there and mo money.

Wow, the difference in defensive stats is staggering. That's a big part of "Klopp effect" with players.
yep.
BTW has anyone realised that we're playing a back four and still winning games?

He's f*cking rubbish at defending.

Yet again today he sat looking at the ball while his man glided in and headed home unopposed.

A few last ditch tackles where he relies on his pace doesn't cover the fact he's not a good defender.

Sell Sell Sell.

I find it amazing so many people get blindsided by a few sprints up the pitch and a bit of passion.

His passing in the final third is still awful.
His crossing is abysmal.
His decision making is woeful in the final third.

If Gomez or Flanno were fit I'd have them in ahead of him in a heartbeat.

He's lucky he's our own fit option at the moment and a player I'd happy to sell.

Wow.

He does make mistakes, but what young defenders don't? His positive attributes far outweigh his negatives, he supports the attack well, he's quick, he's great at getting back when we're hit on the break and he looks like he has the occasional Worldy in him. He has all the raw ability to suggest he can become a top class full back.

Dreamy just thinks he was proven right somewhat over his idea of selling 37 goals in 47 league starts, Daniel Sturridge. So he's now on a roll.

I thought you didn't see the match?
