I'm talking about the fans, here and elsewhere (apparently including you unfortunately), who made up their minds not to like him from the off and won't be shifted from that by anything as inconvenient as hard evidence. Esoteric puts it very well in the post just above this one.

I want him to be a star for every possible reason so please don't assume you know whether I want a player to succeed or not.

I've already stated he has improved from his initial horror show in the cup but that's not saying much.

He cost 40m and has a long way to go to prove himself a good buy yet.

Like a lot of fans I get pissed off wten people get overexcited about a player who should be delivering finally doing something decent.

I've looked back over your posts, mate, and I reckon that was a reasonable assumption to make based on those. This latest one is no exception, witness your use of the word "overexcited" when no-one's claiming he's a galactico. What a majority of us in this thread are saying is that he's been on a steady upward curve for a while now. That's all. As long as you keep referring to that as "overexcited" or suchlike, you'll keep on giving the impression that you'd rather not see him succeed.
