Brazil has won 10 games and drawn 1. They are top of the table with a 6 pt lead over Argentina and a massive 16 point lead over Ecuador in 3rd place. The Brazilian FC absolutely did not need to retain the PL players for all three games, but they chose to do so because they are assholes.

Of course they do, but it's as good as a friendly now, the way the table stands. They could play the first two games then pop back, but I understand that proposal was rejected
