Contraversy here and ref has initially ruled out a Dykes equaliser because of a high foot.....

Superb cross by Robbo.

Not sure by that you know, defender's bough that 1...VAR checking.

Ref going over to the monitor..................he's given the goal!!

2 assists for Robbo.

FANTASTIC GAME.

Was waiting for Ally to utter those famous words "He's gooorrrt taaaahhh scaaawwwww deeerrrrr"

Point blank save from Dykes header.....Scotland well on top here.

Mccrappinay gets the winner for Scotland, fair play. Sensational game & probably deserved.

Scrambles it in from the corner.

I watched the 2nd half and have to say it was sensational. International football at its romantic best. Happy for Robbo, he’s going to sleep well tonight.

Ukraine won 2:1 away at Finland, it was a good day overall.

Ukraine have a strong side, without Zinchenko and Malinovskiy as well.

They literally all play for Kiev or Donetsk bar Yaremchuk and Yarmolenko who themselves plays at a high level…arguably higher.

England players getting wound up by bunch of clowns from Andorra. 2 yellow cards in less than 5 mins.

Andy Robertson captained Scotland to a dramatic 3-2 victory over Israel and registered a pair of assists.

The left-back set up John McGinn’s first-half equaliser at Hampden Park and then sent in a fine cross that was finished by Lyndon Dykes to make it 2-2.

The Group F encounter was then decided by Scott McTominay’s stoppage-time winner, giving Robertson’s side the three points.

The Scotland skipper said afterwards: "We’d rather win two or three nil and not have it be nervy, but that’s not Scotland is it? I grew up watching the national team, it’s never comfortable is it?"

Meanwhile, Sadio Mane beat three Namibia players to score a wonderful individual goal in Senegal's 4-1 home victory. He also assisted his team’s fourth goal with a strong run and cross that allowed Keita Balde to tap in.

Also in the CAF section of qualifying, Naby Keita played 76 minutes of a 2-2 draw between Guinea and Sudan.

Kostas Tsimikas helped Greece beat Georgia 2-0 away from home, with the Liverpool full-back playing the entirety of the match.

Jordan Henderson
and Caoimhin Kelleher were unused substitutes for their countries.

Van Dijk captained the Netherlands to a 1-0 victory away at Latvia, with Davy Klaassen's goal after 19 minutes proving decisive.

Salah's Egypt won by the same scoreline when they hosted Libya in the CAF section of qualifying as Liverpool's No.11 played all 90 minutes of the contest.

Meanwhile, Neco Williams delivered the assist for Aaron Ramsey's opener as Wales went on to draw 2-2 with the Czech Republic in Prague.

How bad are Israel (didn't watch, work headaches)?

They were pretty good actually and tried to play calmly and inventively, but it was difficult in the raucous atmosphere. It felt like Anfield on a European night and in the 2nd half Scotland managed to tap into that energy and attack wave after wave. They deserved to win in the end.

This final has been boooooring.

1 shot on target between them 60 mins gone...

Aaaand Benzema's just hit the bar.

& then a minute later Oyazerbal goes through and smashes 1 in the corner, great finish.

Upamecano is awful...he actually came on for Varane who went off injured.

OH MY WORDDDDDDDDDDDDD BENZEMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHAT A PHENOMINAL EQUALISER.

The last 30 mins come alive, Mbappe puts France ahead .....but he looks offside.

Mbappe's winning goal tonight.....How is that not offside?

Stupid rule. There's surely been games like that in the Prem where it's been given offside?

Agree. At the moment the ball was struck (and VAR can spend minutes checking that on a goal where no defender touched it) he was offside - what comes after shouldn't matter.

Exactly. Would that ball have been played if he wasnt there? No, so he's influencing play

Fabinho and Alisson both played 90 minutes for Brazil’s 0:0 draw at Colombia. Seems like Fabinho is finally being recognized as the first-choice #6 in the country.

Some absolutely dire football played in CONCACAF this weekend. Canada held to a 0-0 draw in Jamaica. Panama upset a second string USA side. Mexico reclaims top spot with a comfortable win over Honduras.

Canada sitting in 4th right now, which would leave them playing in the intercontinental playoffs to qualify for Qatar. Really need to get into third.

Liverpool suffer injury scare as Portugal boss Fernando Santos reveals Diogo Jota has sat out group training and could be sent back from international duty early if he's not fit enough for the bench

[article]Liverpool have suffered an injury scare ahead of their Premier League clash at Watford on Saturday.

Forward Diogo Jota has been struggling with a knock and missed Portugal's 3-0 friendly victory over Qatar last weekend.

Now Portugal boss Fernando Santos has revealed that Jota could be sent back to the Reds early as he still is yet to take part in a group training session.

'He trained a while ago, increased the intensity today with Joao Brito, but he didn't train with us,' he said in his pre-match press conference for his side's World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg on Tuesday.

'The probability will be little. I'll talk to him, see how he feels.

'If we see that he has any conditions to be on the bench and then come in, that's fine.

'If we don't, we won't take the risk with a player who hasn't been able to train with us for a long time.

'I'll make the decision shortly, and if he can't play, he'll head to Liverpool.'

Jota has been a focal point for Jurgen Klopp's side this season, replacing Roberto Firmino as the No 9 in Liverpool's star-studded attack, and has started six of their seven league matches.

The 24-year-old has notched three goals in nine matches in all competitions as the Reds have made a promising start to the 2021-22 campaign.

Klopp's side are in second place in the Premier League, just one point behind leaders Chelsea and have also won their first two Champions League group matches. [/article]
