Hang on. Ince is free in the summer? What the fuck are we doing? I know we need reinforcements ASAP but for 5M or so big ones, what's he going to do for us between now and then?
If he's the right man, wait.
Fuckin hell.

This is a confusing interview ( in Dutch ) but it would appear that we made an offer for Dusan Tadic . He is boss . Better than Mertens for me .

I can't speak Dutch but I think the article is about a potential transfer last summer but he didn't want to move so late in the summer. He still thinks that a move to another club might be on if he feels that the situation is a good one.

I wouldn't ever deal with Oysten, the man is a loon. Look at his antics over the Adam deal.

I think you are right about it being last summer . He speaks about the option of Liverpool or Roma on the last day of the transfer window though and he signed for Twente really early . I think he means it was not time for him as a player . The last bit then says that only a move in the summer would suit him and give time to settle but it is hard to make out if he is talking about a further move in the coming summer or the one he has just made .
I am just happy we are / have been looking at good options outside of England . Tadic went to Twente cheap as well . We missed out there but he is still worth paying for .

i wonder how much ince is going to play if he resigns . Is he really good enough for the level we should be looking to get back to ? Might do a job at first but i reckon he'll be sold again in a season or two . So in a sense i think it's a strange move for him to make personally , bar the money element of course .

I've hardly seen anything of Ince since he joined Blackpool but I remain unconvinced that's he's the kind of player who can make a significant difference to us. And he's clearly a bit of a bellend. But then, I guess everyone is a product of their environment.

Ince has the same deal as Adam had, option of another year, which means he's got 18 months left.

Remy seems to be locked on for Newcastle @ 10 million ... He'll fit their system better as he's comfortable playing on the 'wing', unlike Cisse or Ba.

On the move? Herrera is wanted by United and Porto

Manchester United will face stiff competition to sign Hector Herrera after his club revealed Porto and a French club are also interested in signing the midfielder.

Mexico's Olympic star Herrera was the inspiration behind Mexico's gold medal victory and has been on United's radar for over a year with Liverpool also very keen.

But the club will have to move swiftly for the player nicknamed 'Zorro', according to president of his club.

At this moment there is no concrete offer on the table, but there certainly is a lot of interest,' Pachuca president Jesus Martinez told ESTO.

'Porto are not the only side in the race. There is also a club from England and another one in France.

'Pachuca plan to sell Herrera in the summer of 2013.

But it will have to be a good deal for the club.'

Derby County warn Arsenal and Liverpool they are determined to delay sale of midfield prodigy Will Hughes

Arsenal and Liverpool have been warned by Derby that young midfielder Will Hughes will not be sold in January.

Derby County’s American owners had a board meeting earlier this month and have vowed to reject any bids for the £4million-rated 17 year-old, even though the Championship club have to raise £1.8m in the new year.
Hughes has emerged as one of the most highly-rated young talents outside the Premier League and been watched frequently by Steve Rowley, Arsenal’s chief scout, this season.
Arsenal have been watching Hughes for 12 months. He came to their attention when he helped Derby’s under-18s defeat them in the FA Youth Cup last season and they see him as firmly one for the future.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is also keen on Hughes, who became the second-youngest player to feature for the England Under-21s in the friendly against Northern Ireland last month.
But Derby are determined to retain him for the rest of the Championship season as they believe his valuation could double if he continues to improve. It is understood that Manchester City could step up their interest at the end of the season, while other Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, may also come into the running.

Nigel Clough, the Derby manager, said: “I think a few of the big boys are watching him which is a great compliment to him, but we will do everything we can to hang on to him.
“To do what he has done at 17½ just goes to show the potential that he has. If he stays grounded, does not get carried away and does things right for the next 18 months it will set him up for his career.”
Derby are over budget and want to raise nearly £2 million. A likely option is the sale of defender John Brayford, to Cardiff. Brayford, 24, would cost around £1.25 million but the fee and freeing up his wages would allow Derby to meet their target.
