Tottenham and Liverpool are weighing up a summer move for Real Madrid forward Jose Callejon, according to reports in Italy.
The 25-year-old has failed to establish himself as a regular at the Bernabeu under Jose Mourinho and is reportedly ready to consider a move away from the club if the situation does not change before the end of the season.
And Italian newspaper Tuttosport claim that Tottenham, Liverpool and Udinese are leading the chase for the forward.
But they will have to pay £16.3m to meet Callejon's buy-out clause and prise him away from Real, who are said to still value him highly.

Signing Ince for 4 mill is a good piece of business regardless. If he doesnt make it we'll get that back without any problems at all. Low risk and could be great deal.

Sturridge for 12 mill is the big risk though. But he just turned 23 and the potential is massive.
That atticle that suggested that Ince and Sturridge doesnt have goals in them are taking the piss tbh.

Lewandowski would be fantastic but also a fantasy imho.

I must have been unlucky, but TBH the few times I've seen Lewandowski play I've been underwhelmed.

No it isn't.

There's a fair chance he'll be moved on in a few seasons time for buttons.

Chris Bascombe claiming that we have a budget of £20m in January apparently.

Liverpool told they can land Anderlecht ace for £8m

Lucas_Biglia_6.jpg

Liverpool target Lucas Biglia has been told he can leave Anderlecht if they offer £8.35m.
The Argentine midfielder has long been an Anfield target and was linked with Arsenal in the summer.
And Anderlecht have decided that the 26-year-old can leave, but only if they receive an offer of €10.25m.
"We have not formally received an offer for Lucas but we know that his agent is making moves in the transfer market," Anderlecht general manager Herman Van Holsbeeck told calciomercato.com.
"Biglia has two and a half years left on his contract and we would only consider letting him go if we receive an offer of €10.25m. He won't leave in January for a penny less."
AC Milan are also reported to be strongly interested in the former Independiente midfielder.

I don't know where you get that from Mr S. £4m for a three year deal on £25k a week.

regards

Ahhh I saw a report saying a total of £18 million for the pair, £12 million for Sturridge and £6 million (which we get 35% of back) for Ince. The bit about us being a farce and the scouting system being non-existent is still pretty true though.

How ace is this ace though ?

Was linked with us under Rafa, has also been linked with Real, comes with a good reputation. I would normally ask, 'how good is he really if he is till at Anderlecht blah blah'.

However, players like Michu, Jelavic, Dembele etc show that 'it's not where you've been but where your at (ability wise that is)'.

I can't see us signing another central midfielder in Jan.

Hasn't Henderson been linked with Fulham again? There is always a surprise in Jan, usually a shit sandwich when it comes to us but maybe Henderson will move on in which case we might be in for someone else.

I'd keep Henderson unless he's on high wages (is he?) because we won't get our money back and he's an alright squad player who has plenty of time to improve

I'm a bit torn when it comes to him. He occasionally does some good things and I think, there is a player in there somewhere.
But mostly he does fekin nothing - he has seriously mastered the art of playing it safe. He is young and maybe he'll improve but how long do we wait? He won't get allot of game time unlike Lucas who was lucky that Rafa loved him and played him for 200 years until he 'evolved' into being good.

I'm a bit torn about Hendo too. Last season he was largely shit. This season has been a definite improvement, although he hasn't had nearly as much match time. I was delighted to see him come on as a sub once or twice, and make a big impact. For now, I think we should try to hang on to him. He's still young, and he can only get better.

Ince prepared to be patient and see out season at Blackpool as Liverpool argue over £6m fee
Thomas Ince is prepared to sit tight at Blackpool and run down his contract if the Championship club fail to agree a fee with Liverpool. Ince, 20, believed the deal with Brendan Rodgers' side was almost done, but there is hitch over the price. The England Under 21 winger's contract at Bloomfield Road is up at the end of the season and an FA tribunal would have to set the fee.

Man in the middle: Liverpool want to sign Blackpool winger Thomas Ince
Blackpool want £6m for Ince, but Liverpool are offering substantially less for a player they released 18 months ago.
Liverpool still have a 30 per cent sell-on clause in Ince's contract, but the Blackpool wideman is determined to return to Anfield.
He has scored 13 times for Michael Appleton's side and has contributed 15 assists from his position on the wing.
Blackpool are already in dialogue with Liverpool about the January move, but it is being held up by the Tangerines' playing hardball.
Rodgers, who is short of attacking options because of Andy Carroll's loan move to West Ham and the long-term injury to Fabio Borini, needs the deal done in the transfer window.

No it isn't.

You could say that about most players who are primarily potential. There's few players who come in and you could say we'll make our money back on with absolute certainty. He will score goals, so even if he doesn't hit the heights of a World Class forward, he might bridge the gap of where we are now and being on the fringe of the CL places, if that's the case, even if he contributes a fair return over two seasons and then we decide we need better, he'll be 25, still able to go on to another, perhaps lesser club and we'll have made some of our money back just by improving and standing ourselves in a position to compete for better players again.

If Ince's contract is up at the end of the season there is no way we should be paying £6M for him. That's ridiculous.

That would mean his actual worth is around the £12-15M mark. And it isn't.

Why would it? The way I view it is that Blackpool want the fee to be £4m, we're offering £4m but have a 30% sell on, so we're actually getting him for around £2.8m. That's the reason they want £6m, so they're still getting about £4m overall.

They can't argue that though, because regardless it's us they are dealing with, they'd be asking anyone to pay over his market value.

I think with BR we won't pay more than he thinks a player is worth, Sigurdson a case in point. FSG having been rightly panned for indulging Commoli and Kenny with stupid fees and wages for players will (I am hoping), have learned their lesson.

It's common knowledge that we have been seen as soft touch for an absolute age, both in terms of player fees/wages and the gazillions we have been shafted for by agents. About time we rectified that shit.

They can make whatever argument they wont because he is their player.
