I was referring to the PL experience, I thought it was obvious.
So why mention his age then?
It still potentially has a bearing. He's 30 and may well have to adjust to the league for a lengthy period, or he could settle straight away, who knows, but if he struggles it's not like he's got age on his side to improve and adjust to the league. Sink or swim really.
This.

After all the talk prior to the world cup about not buying a player based on them having a good tournament (based on past experience) everyone is talking up Salcido as being much better than Koncheskey.

Now I don't follow dutch football but I suspect that there is a good reason that Salcido lost his regular starting spot.

Not that I particularly rate Konceskey but I really doubt that Salcido is any better and taking into account the fact that he would need to adjust to a new league, he could be significently worse.

I mentioned it because it would be very difficult for him to adapt to the PL at his age.
His better days will (probably) be behind him and his pace would be on the decline too.
In Knochesky, regardless of age, we have a guy who knows (and is proven in) the Premiership.
I see.

I honestly thought that was clear.
I'll have to work on my diction.
I was just making a wee joke Stu. I can't believe you and Mark bothered explaining your point. But thanks for being thorough.

Liverpool have made a move for Lassana Diarra as they step up their bid to replace Javier Mascherano, Goal.com UK can reveal.

The Merseysiders have made an enquiry for the Real Madrid midfielder, 25, who has been told he is surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu.

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has been told by the Anfield hierarchy that he will get only a proportion of the money from the Mascherano deal, which is worth up to £22 million.

Christian Poulsen has already been brought in from Juventus for £4m but Hodgson wants another central midfield enforcer and believes Diarra fits the bill.

The former Le Havre, Chelsea, Arsenal and Portsmouth player, a France international, has been placed on a ‘for sale’ list by Real sporting director Jorge Valdano and could be available for as little as £9m.

Tottenham are also continuing to monitor Diarra’s situation even though manager Harry Redknapp has said that his wage demands are a problem.

Diarra is reported to earn £71,000-a-week net in Madrid, but Spurs believe the promise of regular first-team football could help a deal to be done for around £80,000-a-week gross.

Another possibility being considered by both Tottenham and Liverpool is to take the Frenchman on loan for a season, with the shortfall in his wages being met by Real.

Both clubs are keen on Scott Parker but West Ham are holding out for £14m for the 29-year-old, which is viewed as prohibitive.

Surely that's old news now we've signed the Porto guy.

I'm wondering if it is. Probably, but what if Roy wants to push Gerrard back into the front two ? Then we would need another MF and Diarra, Miereles & Poulson with Lucas & Shelvey for LC and EL dead games would be damn good;

Skysports.com understands Paul Konchesky is currently undergoing a medical with Liverpool.

The Reds agreed a fee with Fulham for the left-back on Friday evening and he was given permission to travel to Merseyside to hold talks.

As revealed by skysports.comLiverpool have offered young duo Lauri Dalla Valle and Alex Kacaniklic to Fulham as part of the deal to bring the defender to Anfield.

Fulham cleared the way for Konchesky to leave Craven Cottage after sealing a move for Mexican defender Carlos Salcido from PSV Eindhoven on Friday.

Konchesky has been a long-term target for Reds boss Roy Hodgson ever since his arrival at Anfield earlier this summer.

Liverpool are hoping to tie up the move in the next 24 hours and the full-back is expected to stay on Merseyside to watch Liverpool's clash with West Brom on Sunday.

Why would we not be playing Carra. It makes no sense Zlatan
Because if a world class midfielder like Lucas can be rendered completely useless by Carra's negative influence on the team, imagine what it'd do to a poor shmuck like Meireles.

The Zlatan detests Carra.

His 'team of Carraghers' slur makes it pretty obvious.

A Liverpool supporter who dislikes Jamie Carragher is obviously wrong to the core, and certainly should not be supporting this club.

Why would we be signing Konchesky and still starting Fab? It makes no sense, Zlatan.
Because maybe konchesky was bought as back up to aurelio? i rate aurelio more than konchesky

Because Sktrel/Agger would be a better partnership IMO
