I have a very, very sinking feeling about this summer's transfer window.

So far it has been fucking depressing watching "the big boys" get their wallets out, while we're linked with Tuncay and Distin.

As i'm typing that im thinking 'Who' or 'God no' it aint awe inspiring fo damn sho.

That said i said at the end of the season i think we have enough to win the league already so im not overly concerned.

Only Lavezzi maybe, I think he has mentioned us once (although he's probably just trying to get higher wages), the others were just loosely linked with us. And Downing won't play for months anyway so even if we were in for him, we've probably ended our interest.

I completely agree, but apart from maybe 2-3 players it's the same type of links with all of them.

Mistakes were made in the early part of the year. And most importantly we missed Torres for half a season and Gerrard for a 3rd of it.
We DO have enough if we can keep them fit. I know its a [size=20pt]BIG IF[/size]

Agreed.

If Torres was fit all year I'm certain we'd have won the league.
 
We'd have won it anyway if Rafa had taken the shackles off earlier in the season, so yes, in principle we certainly have enough to do so. The trouble is that others around us are strengthening last season's squads, so we have to do likewise to maintain our position relative to them.

Yeah i think Rosco's taken a bit of a liking to the "War Hero"
 
We've also been linked with Luc Castaignos, a 16yold striker at Feynoord. Dutch TV supposedly suggested we'd made a bid of 4M.

You jest? Tuncay is a marvellous player and a bargain at £8m. His transfer to Middlesbro was odd and he couldn't single-handedly save them but having seen him on numerous occasions for Turkey (he is their best player and captain) and for fenerbache/Middlesbro I will confidently predict that if he is signed by a major European team this summer he will prove to be an inspirational signing.

For those of us who miss a lot of the goings-on, and need a quick catch-up - it's a Godsend mate.

As someone said above though, if it could include the likes of Arbeloa, Richards, etc that'd be great. But whatever you like.
