Phillips ruins a great chance, lovely pass by Mears in midfield puts Wallace into space, gets tackled by the full back but stays on his feet long enough to allow support to get there, quick ball from the ruck was dropped by Phillips.

I'm not convinced about Jones at all, often I think he's lucky to be in the Welsh side, let alone the Lions.

It's always more tempting to illegally tackle when you're putting them into touch.
I remember narrowly avoiding a yellow card for something similar when playing for the midlands.

He's playing like a typical English forward;
Thick & indisciplined.

For someone who knows nothing about the dark arts of the scrum, is Vickery doing anything cynical here?
The only positive is that as bad as we've been we're only 8 points down.
The lineout has been inconsistent, the scrum destroyed. We're still battling for everything up front which is good to see, all 8 are working hard and making the hits.
Jones' kicking has been awful, he hasn't turned the wingers once. Every ball is straight down their throat, compare that to Pienaar's kicks in behind the defence which have caused us a lot of problems. I don't expect us to take Jones off because we've got no more backs on the bench if somoene gets injured but I think Jones will be dropped for next week.
If we get some decent possession in the second half this could be a very different game.
