Well, this is it.

There's actually a good chance I may get back here once or twice next season since my wife's stint looks like it might be extended.

But for now I probably have to go back in July and get a real job; Anfield has been a wonderful (but expensive) experience 8)

So I'm going out with a bang.

I want to thank everyone who's done so much and helped me out so much this year get up to Anfield, and who's actually given such great advice over the past few months..I'm afraid to name names because there're so many and I'm bound to forget and offend somebody..but I've mentioned them in all posts, and they know who they are.

I'm taking the train up on Sat afternoon and I'll be in the Harry both nights; so all are welcome.

Jawohl, Herr Sunny ;D

I just realised that I shouldnt have started this thread since Fulham's not played yet.

Looking forward to the last home game, an 'ahem' *few* beers to see off the season is always good.

You're excited avvy, it's allowed!

[/quote]Sorry buddy, couldn't resist.

I'll obviously be up for this one, too. Although the train journey is looking like a fucking nightmare. Four changes including a bus journey and a 'walk'.

Where do you live?!

Why is it 4 changes?

There wasnt a train to Nottingham from Oxford?...that's usually where the change is, just the one then off to Liverpool

I'm coming from Oxford. For some reason there's nothing even close to a single change journey on the Sunday. I either have to go to London first, and get a direct one from there, or I have to bus to Banbury, get a train to Birmingham Moore Street, walk to Birmingham New Street, and then get a train from there. Looking at about four and a half hours.

According to the trainline you can do it in 2 hours 52 Going Oxford-> Stafford->Birmingham New Street -> Liverpool

So 2 changes and 2:52- costing £40 on off-peak return and a rail card.

Not great but slightly better?

Lads, me and Aidan half thinking of this. Would be great to meet Avvy etc.

I was keeping an eye out for a ticket for Del but no sign of one yet. I missed the day of sale as I had no intention of going again this season but i'm tempted.

Last home game of the season will prob be mental. I keep checking another site I go on but nothing popping up yet.

Appreciate the effort, David. Make sure you sort yourself out first though, obviously. It doesn't look like I'll have any shortage of people to drink with!

Been tough getting tickets for this one. FFF is after one as well as are a few others..

i'm so on the fence with regards to drinkies. It'd be great to have a few drinks again, but moneys tight and i've got assignments due on the tuesday....

it's in the "we'll see" pile

I'm over with five other lads and only four of us have a ticket, I'm on the look out for two spares myself. How much would you say tickets could bought outside the stadium for?

£80 I reckon from touts. I never buy from them but demand could be high with it being last game of the season and could be a key game also

How have you managed that mate? I've tried selecting to go via Stafford but it's not giving me anything. That would certainly be preferable to 4 and a half hours of faffing around.

Ah my bad mate, the return is that, outgoing is a shade over 4 hours.

Departing at 09:40 on the 15th and leaving at 09:48 on the 16th (with a rail card)

Oxford to Liverpool - 3 stops - 4 hours 17 mins

Liverpool to Oxford - 2 stops - 2 hours 52 mins
