Come Sunday evening we could be right in the title race if we beat Chelsea showing our title credentials.

However if we lose then the doom and gloom sets in as we could be 9 points off top by the 1st week of October.

It really is amazing how our season could already be shaped by just one game.

I cna only imagine the contrasting posts and threads on here Monday depending on the results from The end of the world to we are going to win the league.

Let the kneejerking begin!

So do not think we face an almost impossible task to win the league if we lose Sunday?

I don't think we'll win the league anyway, and I haven't at any point since the summer, but we didn't lose last year on the back of one game, you could look at any number of losses and dropped points, even though some stick out painfully (Middlesborough). I would change our odds of winning massively based on the Chelsea game.

It certainly won't help, and the next run of games is an important one.

I haven't either but was roared at for voicing that I don't think we are contenders before we kicked a ball.

The Boro game was a horrible one but last season I would put the Spurs away game as the starting point.

Their are so many factors though when it comes to playing the big boys. To lost to them on Sunday would kick the stuffing out of all but the demented believers.

I love games like this though where the gap between winning and losing is so great. Builds tension and excitement in equal measure!

Impossible? With only 90 points left to play for..?

Perhaps.

That was our first loss of the season wasn't it?

I can't really see how we could be 9 points behind if we lose?

It'll be 6 points, and though it wouldn't be optimal, it would be far too early to say that we're out of the race.

Yes it would, especially this season, which I reckon is going to be one of the most open for a good while.

Maths wouldn't be your strong point would it, or optimism for that matter? 3 behind now, if we lose we'll be 6 behind!
