Sorry but even the biggest rafa sympathiser would have to admit, that was too much. You don't do that, he's becoming a cancer to the club. Put it this way, his influence has become so strong that two of our best players could walk in the summer just to spite him. Spite? Bred from arrogance, stubborness and ego. He has to go, before everyone else does.

He won't walk though, Mark. We're stuck with him and it fucking kills me. It kills me what he's doing to this club.
 
yah ... if we win, i think it's a master stroke ... since we didn't, it's a gamble he couldn't take. i still think we may finish 4th funnily but even then, i don't want him at our club anymore. he's not the right man for this club and i hope he goes to juve/real madrid.
 
if rafa leaves I hope he takes kuyt with him, someone who has no idea what 'first time pass' means. everything slows to an absolute crawl when the ball goes to him.
 
The anger flooding through me at the moment is slightly worrying - I'm glad that Karl Hungus is driving us home.

cautious. pretty much sums up rafa. he is being cautious with torres, he was cautious with the starting line up and our start to the game and only when the clock hits 60mins does he decide to do anything but by then its already too late.

I'm at the end of my tether with him now, but some of the bollocks on this thread is plain embarassing (fuck off/he's a cancer etc)

He's served this club with dignity, won a champions league and in amassing 86 points almost won the elusive title last season. He's fucked it royally this season but personal insults are not justified.

Saying he's a cancer isn't a personal insult, its descriptive of his influence on the club at present. He takes off torres, fucks him off and it increases speculation, and the chances of him walking.

Whatever defense people want to throw infont of him, there was no excuse for some of his decisions today. He's become a joke. Yeah, take off your £20m striker, probably the best in the World for a £1.5m kid who's proven he's not at the required level, just to prove a point. He's egotistical and his point proving is going to cost us as a club.

And Budha, if people want to be riled by him and call him whatever, then so be it. He's no longer demostrating that he's doing things for the good of the club, he's trying to prove points, which is pathetic.

It's shit mate isnt it? I hate seeing what we've become. I don't see how any of our players, let alone Torres and Gerrard, could relish coming back to us in the Summer all fired up for next season. Rafa's screwed us royally this season, and for all the good he has done, I don't see how we can look beyond this as a signal of his failings.

It was the final straw for me to today, I've had enough with the man.

Torres won't leave because of incidents like this though, but Rafa should obvs do so.

He might be misguided in the extreme, but you've no proof he was trying to prove a point today. He might just as easily have taken off Torres to save him for the Benfica match on thursday (which of itself is wholly unacceptable).

I don't think he's trying to egotistically prove points (against whom?). He's just got his priorities wrong and is too defensive. I want him to leave too, but I'm angry with Rafa's management of the side, not everything else about him.
