At some point this season Im terrified somebody is going to embarrass the fuck out of Gerrard. If Stevie has another shite game today hes got to be dropped , pushing him upfront is a pipe dream he hasnt got the pace to be effective in that position and his passing is all over the place. Stevie easily has on par or better passing than him. He has an equally good reading of the game in the final third than him also, whereas admittedly lampard has adapted his shooting style more successfully as he's aged.

There's no reason Stevie playing further up the pitch won't work provided he's not played as a striker & there's someone to do loads of running behind him, if that's the case he'll have to do a lot less running than he does currently, & he'll also provide an aerial threat, his headers have always been the most underrated & underused of his talents.
