The Booing
We are obviously expected to take our bitter medicine in silence.
I should point out that, as far as I recall, Portly and I did not boo, it is not our style, we may have had our heads in our hands, and I do not particularly condone booing players as individuals either.
I think last night was slightly different more a spontaneous outburst of incredulity from the fans at a flabbergasting decision on both aspects, there was more whistling and cat calls than booing, if that makes any difference.
To take Yossi off, who was still the only one that was likely to create anything was almost criminal.
I think it's fair under the circumstances last night that the crowd should be able to show their feelings.

It pains me to see our fans losing hope to an extent where they need to do that.  I was disappointed with the Yossi sub, and livid at the end - but I would have never booed.  This team WILL bounce back.  The season starts Sunday.

Oh, and no more Farkie/Ryan tag teams vs Lech ok?  That's just not fair.
I don't think I've ever disagreed with you more than I do about that.  It's a measure of how terminally irritating LeChacal's one-eyed vendettas become that he drives others to such measures.  If I'd been around at the time, I'd have joined them.

I find it embarassing when our fans boo the team.

Oh, and Anita, ssssh !
It was more the managers daft decision that the flak was directed at last night.

You do make me laugh at times PM. And Your blind faith is admirable I have to say. What pleases me less is your constant digs towards people that are less patient than you.
I'd never boo but I can understand to an extent.
Benayoun is certainly our most consistant player this season so far yet he's always the one being subbed or benched whilst shite players like Lucas and an off-form Kuyt are always in the starting 11 and never subbed.

The fact that it's not always that clear whether a player is coming off because of some physical problem or just a tactical decision makes booing fairly dubious, and presumptuous, at the best of times. But the punters pay to be there, I guess they can do what they wish, like those dolts who shout 'Oo are ya?' at some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Yeah, but Rafa is a fatty Pesam.

He's rotund maybe even portly Anita but Rafa ain't no fatty.

there was nothing wrong with yossi when he came off.

people booed. deal with it. they paid their money and they have a right to, especially after the game had finished.

There's very little that irks me more than the 'they've paid their money' argument.

It's completely shit.

that's your opinion.

like i said earlier i'd not witnessed disgruntlement like last night in a long long time.

People pay their money at Pantomines and are allowed to boo and hiss all they want!

The nerve!

well when we play at home and that fat fuck benitez takes off benayoun instead of lucas.. and leaves babel on the bench and makes his substitutions in the 85th minute when we need to go and get 3points you can hardly blame them..
Fuck off Zlatan you prick.
I don't fucking care if he brought titus fucking bramble and put him in goal against the mancs. You do NOT boo your own fucking team. Anyone who booed is a cunt. Yossi may provide a spark but last night besides the goal he was disjointed and wasted possession. Babel has consistently let us down when he's played recently.

People have a right to voice their disapproval when decisions are taken that dont really make any sense. I dont approve of booing normally but we are all human and frustrations at times do come to the fore.

A supposed Liverpool fan referring to our manager as a "Fat Fuck" is what irked me so much. Zlatan is a cunt.

So in the eyes of the loons (zlatan n rage), anyone who shows support for rafa wants to perform acts of man love on our manager. Its a compelling argument isnt it?

well it sounds like the cunt pesam is inlove with rafa..
ive supportered rafa ever since he has been with us and have slowly been losing patience with the way he manages us. from his stupid zonal marking to his love for shit players and his stupid decision making regarding substitutions.. ive just had enough and i think he is a cunt now. so the faster he is out and the fast we get a new coach the better it will be for our club =]

He deserved it. Its time for him to go. If he stays, booing at Anfield would not be a surprise thing.

You have to create your own luck...
And that luck will go very often against you if you're an over cautious team that prefers not to lose instead of wining.
You sound like Houiller and so does Rafa, as I said many times their reign is very similar.
Only cautious and under-pressure managers talk about how unlucky their teams are.
Ferguson and Mourinho's teams are always lucky, Houiller and Rafas are always unlucky and walking on a fine line...
Coincidence?
Yes there's a coincidence, it's that whenever any manager fails, they get compared to the failure of the previous, the same way that idiots compare any intractable war america involves itself in to vietnam. The fact that there is a lazy obvious comparison to make, which by the way, was made every single one of Rafa's seasons in charge, including last year, doesn't make it a valid comparison. It just makes you an idiot.

And you are bringing it up now? Because yes, we should have thrown caution to the wind against a good attacking team with our makeshift squad.

Rafa proved he isn't essentially conservative, last season, the way we've played this season hasn't been essentially conservative either.

Mourinho was never cautious? Ferguson wasn't cautious? How many 1-0s propelled both of those teams to titles. Our issue at present isn't attitudinal, it's that we don't have the defensive ability that either of those teams have, and we don't have the defensive ability that has propelled us to all our best results in the past. That has allowed a lot of doubt to creep into our play, which is magnified immensely when our team is gutted by injury, because our squad is thin.
Come on Farky, you've got to be kidding mate. They might have a reputation of being a good attacking team but Lyon were poor against us pure and simple. Sure they had a couple of players who could make something out of nothing but then the same is true of most players.

This talk about us not being cautious is just baffling; we are cautious as a squad, a team and a manager. There are periods during the season where we throw off those shackles but each time it turns out to be simply a temporary shift and then, eventually, normal service is restored.

If we're going to go down then I'd like to see us go down guns blazing rather than in damage control. Show some arrogance and confidence that we've got the talent and the capability to come back from anywhere. Lyon looked more surprised than us to be leading and we should have gone after them rather than seek to control the game and see what happened.

I'm constantly befuddled by Rafa and his decisions; just when you think he's taking a direction he changes it and you wonder where we are and where we're going again. He's done so much good stuff but I find it really questionable whether he will ever win the title in England.
