If the table never lies then there isn't much difference between us and Villa, just a couple of points.

What encouraging for those that believe we are better than Villa is that Villa has played as well as they ever done have under MON whilst we have probably played as badly as we ever have under Rafa. There's also no evidence (so far) that Villa can be any better.

C&Bs assessment was pretty spot on. Both teams are much of a muchness apart from Gerrard & Torres. That pulls us clear, on paper anyway. But then, realistically, that assessment applies to us versus a fair few teams in the Prem, hence the struggle when they're injured/not playing.

Skrtel and The Greek cancel out Collins and Beye.
Keepers also cancel each other out as I doubt there is much in it.
Spearing and Albrighton play in different are both only begining their careers and cancel each other out.
Aurelio, N' Gog and Babel edge Sidwell (Who is a decent player), an untested Delph and a young Delfouneso.

I'd give our Bench the victory here.
