All those decisions the ref makes seemingly hours (usually a minute or so) after they've happened have been relayed to the ref from the fourth official having interpreted the replay.
Not officially. It's been done like that for a couple of years on & off though. A ref actually admitted taking advice from a fourth official last season, & no one kicked off, which surprised me cos it's not actually allowed yet.
