That's what Utd said, they fucking got a point out of that match by the skin of their teeth and that was at Old Toilet. They'll be no push over but I'm actually confident we can get a result without Torres & Gerrard.
you know the saying 'never look a gift horse in the mouth'
don't you think it's an odd saying because if the trojans HAD looked their gift horse in the mouth they would have saved their city...
This is what I would do but not what Rafa will do. Carra has played midfield before and with him and Mascher in the middle it will give us a solid base for Benny and Riera to push forward. We would win 0-1 with Kuyt getting the only goal.

The Achaean's were hiding in the horses mouth?

you know the story the greeks hid in trojan horse, the trojan's thinking it a gift from poseidon wheel it inside, the greeks pour out when the trojans are sleeping and slaughter the city. so the saying 'never look a gift horse in the mouth' seems...odd.

how unlucky are we with international weeks !!
When you consider that both Spain and England had already qualified it makes you even more angry
Lyon and UTD, please be fit ***PRAYS****

Yeh it's a disgrace. How many times has Torres come back from international duty injured, and as you say, the fact they had already qualified makes it more ridiculous this time.
Can't see us winning this game now, not that I could before I heard this news. OUt of the race for the league by 5pm tomorrow I reckon.

Its nothing to do with being unlucky. Its to do with players being injured on a Saturday and being kept to train with their squads, agravating the injuries, and not getting back till Tuesday and Thursday.
The south americans are not due back until today or last night I think. What sort of shape are they going to be in I wonder?
We really have to start putting our foot down. I know we cant stop them going but surely as their employers we must have some rights to have a say is their treatment.
"Manager Rafa Benitez must also deal with the major headache of having both his central midfield pairing returning back late from international duty, with Brazilian Lucas only arriving back on Friday afternoon, and even worse news about Argentina skipper Javier Mascherano. He along with international team mate Emiliano Insua was unable to return to Merseyside as planned, and will now fly straight to the north east of England to team up with the Liverpool squad late on Friday evening".

Insua, Mascher and Lucas have returned, no injuries and fit.
2 of them will start tomorrow.

yipee :'(
we really have the crap cut of South Americans don't we
Imagine how excited we would be if someone said we are signing two argentinian internationals and a brazilian international, then we found out who they were, fuck it

No I havent. There are some things you just dont forget. The whole team was shite that night in fairness but I wouldnt be surprised if Rafa goes with Aurelio in there especially if what Rafa4pm says is true.
Dont get me wrong I would much rather see a fresh Mascherano in our midfield over ANYONE bar stevie.
