Ok that doesnt say a lot considering how poor deadly is.
The very little that we did on Saturday came from Babel's feet. I dont remember seeing Kuyt on that pitch.

Reira's injured mate. Lucas is all we have now to play with Mascher. Had Rafael been good in the transfer market last summer we would've gotten Defour instead of the injury prone Aquilani.

So we should play like this if we want to win today.

I'd like to see Babel's feet donated to medical research personally.

Re: Team for LYON

Babel needs a good game after saturday, yes maybe stick him up front.

Id like to see him interchanging with Kuyt and Yossi, it could be quite fluid.

At least with Kuyt up top he has a good record of scoring in champions league, we have a good chance dispite the weakend side.

I'm not even going to attempt to defend babel's performance at the weekend as he was dog shit but the truth is kuyt has done next to nothng this season. seriously, what was kuyt's contribution v s'land? or chelsea? there have been far too many first team players that have been frankly SHIT this season but its easier to lay the blame the usual suspects.
carra, mash, kuyt, skrtel, reira and to a lesser extent gerrard have had or are having an indifferent season and that's why we are struggling not because the fringe players haven't stepped up (although they haven't exactly helped).

No, but it does prove that even buying a player who's not injured doesn't immunise you from the possibility of them getting injured.

You might think you're smart bust sadly you are stupid as the others. There's a difference between an injury prone player to an injury happen to a player. That's two different thing. Aquilani is an injury prone player and his record on injury proves these where as Defour got injured because he fractured his foot. Simple. Its not that hard to understand.

Why do you need to base the injury record since last 5 years?? Since 2006, ankle problem. Every year he will be out for approx 5-6 weeks. Started only 10 games last season, the season before 16 games, in 2006/2007 started only 15 games. Its a FACT he's an injury prone player.

Re: Team for LYON

It baffles me how Babel still gets into so many people's starting lineups when it's evident that he's completely useless every single time he starts.

And by the way, what the fuck happened to El Zhar? Not that I'd see him as any more than an occasional squad member, but he, unlike Babel, did put some effort in his performances last year. As far as I know we haven't sold him and he even signed a new contract in the summer, what's the deal?

Babel wouldn't get into my starting 11, it's merely that fact that Nando and Albert are injured, and he's the best of a bad bunch of back up players. As far as I know El Zhar was/is injured.

I don't think babel will ever be the sort of player that is effective from the start of a game, I still think he is a good option from the bench though. two goals (alright one was flucky but a goal is a goal) and 1 assist so far.

Its a shame that Rafael let Nemeth out on-loan to the Greek side. We can do with him on the pitch when Torres out injured. He's definitely a better player than that N'Gog kid.

Babel, voro, ngog... i have no clue.

maybe ngog.
[/quote]

Definitely. At least he's the one that looks interested when on the pitch.

Its a shame that Rafael let Nemeth out on-loan to the Greek side. We can do with him on the pitch when Torres out injured. He's definitely a better player than that N'Gog kid.

my feeling is that Ngog wasnt a bad player somehow similar to Babel, thrives in forward position with a partner beside.

I dun think they are suitable to a system being play up front alone. ???

n'gog should be ahead of babel and voronin as our third striker after torres and kuyt .both babel and voronin should be sold even at a loss if need be.podolski to replace babel in january and nemeth back from loan next year and we have good options up front next year torres, podolski, kuyt, nemeth,n'gog in that order .

You really are deluded. Gerrard and Kuyt, Gerrard and Babel, Kuyt and Babel. All far better options than anything involving David N'Gog.
