Super Mario

Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology and the manager. We have the capability to make the best Italian striker in the premiership. Mario will be that man. Better than he was before. Better... stronger... faster

We are not machines ! We are men !

The problem is the lunacy seems to outweigh the talent. Or clubs wouldn't keep getting shot of him after a season or two.

There does seem to be this assumption that Milan *must* be getting rid because he's too much trouble. Surely it's more likely, given his goalscoring record there, and that they've been a mess for years now, that they're just desperate for the money.

The worst I've seen him accused of at Milan is being lazy. Which is bad, but not exactly a disaster.

@Milanello: Mediaset reports tha Milan and Liverpool have reached an agreement regarding the sale of Balotelli - allegedly around €22m.

I was always opposed to signing him, as he's a fucking mental.

But ultimately he's a good striker and has a ridiculous level of inventiveness, as well as being able to rattle in all types of goals.

He'll probably end up shite, but I want to do it now. He'll raise a few giggles too

Mate it's 90+%

Di Marzio has called it (*nods to Dmishra*)

Balotelli Liverpool, not only a practical concern. More. Real negotiations going on between the two clubs, working to close. Based on a final basis, it is the intention of Milan. On site, there is also Mino Raiola, agent of the boy. Operation that surprise could be defined in a very short time, perhaps as early as today. Milan-Liverpool, Mario ago suitcases. The Premier League seems to be his destiny. Again.

Luis was a nutter when we signed him, who BR helped turn into a star

Studge was perceived as being trouble/ego when we signed him, who BR helped turn into a star

What could possible go wrong with mario.......

Has he dealt with a talent that has trouble with putting vests on?
If we are signing him I would rather keep Fabio as a back up measure.

This is where I'm at. Fuck it, let's roll the dice.....

Echo are running this as well now, it seems to be gathering ridiculous pace. It must be happening.

His goalscoring record there is impressive which makes me question the fact they are selling him. Your theory is obviously plausible. Maybe he is their most saleable asset and they need to raise funds.

I hope you're right.

Personally I've always felt we need two more strikers this season. If we could get an up and coming talent (because there's no bona fide striker close to coming through the system at present) to supplement this, then the squad will be much better.

I'm unashamedly on the Balotelli train.

He's incredibly talented. That'd be enough for me alone. But to boot, I believe we've got the best manager in the league at getting gifted but inconsistent players to play at their absolute best. Sturridge, Suarez, Coutinho, Henderson, etc. Our man in charge gets good players to play their best football consistently. We got Daniel Sturridge when half of us didn't want him for 9 million quid. He's now the fastest player to 50 goals in our fucking history and 50 fucking million wouldn't buy you him.

This is Sturridge Mk II. 17M for someone with Mario Balotelli's talent is a complete steal.

This'll work. I'm ignoring all evidence to the contrary.

Booooooom it's gorra be 99%
I dont mind him onboard as I reckon Rodgers can tame him, also the Liverpool night scene will love him.

Expect Fabio to be sold shortly Mario, surprised if we get close to receiving 14 million for him again

Wouldn't Origi tick that box?

I always found him funny as fuck tbh, the mad stories off the pitch, the ironic tshirt, & that stupid glove hat were a welcome relief to the normal sanitised football shit or the more lurid, rape/drink driving/racism/drugs shite that seem to get the press around football so much.

All that said, I hope we just get to enjoy those phenomenonal feet without the negatives or madness going too far.

Rarely does the #4 striker ever get much pitch time. Look at City, strong contenders in every competition they were in however Jovatic hardly saw much action last season, and even then that was down to Aguero's injury issues. Aguero, Dzeko, Negredo all saw substantially more minutes than Jovatic.

If that was us with Sturridge, Balotelli, Lambert and a young striker .. the young'un would hardly ever even make the bench.

I surprisingly find myself on board the Mario train.
It is a risk but then what transfer isn't somewhat of a risk these days.
Barca just spent £75m on a nutjob that keeps biting people and who runs the risk of getting a long term ban from football.
For the risk of less than £20m with a potentially huge reward it is worth taking in my opinion.
He could be our version of that French, collar up. twat.
