Sunderland game. HELP.

Am I right in assuming not many (if any) of you are staying afterwards for a pint?

Just debating whether it's worth staying in the harry to watch the match or shooting home in time for kick off after I've shared a pint or two with you lads.

Need to work it out cos I'll need to get Bex to come get me & give her warning in advance if so.

I'd presume Spion is shooting off straight afterwards mate, but he'll know better than me.

I assume you guys will, unsure about anyone else, normally it's a given there'll be pints afterwards but with it being a school night don't wanna make the assumption now then be forced to watch the match in the harry for lack of organising a way home in time for kick off.

Liverpool Football Club is asking fans to arrive early at Anfield stadium for Wednesday's match against Sunderland, which kicks off at 8pm GMT.

With only five home games remaining, all the Reds' fixtures will be sold out and the club is asking fans to arrive at the stadium in good time.

The club is also reminding fans to be aware of counterfeit tickets. With demand for match tickets extremely high for the remaining home games, fans should be extra vigilant with tickets and only buy from authorised selling points. Please do not accept any ticket from a non-authorised seller.

The turnstiles at Anfield are electronic and therefore any unofficial or counterfeit tickets will be rejected automatically and won't be allowed entry to the ground.

All tickets purchased are ultimately the responsibility of the supporter whose name is on the ticket. Any breach of regulations may be subject to further investigation that could ultimately result in the club pursuing a ban for each person involved for future LFC games.

Liverpool FC are very proud of our support at every game, not just at Anfield, but wherever we play in the world. Thank you again for coming to this fixture and for your continued support of the team.

Fucking shit. It's my turn to go to the match but I'm working and I couldn't get a swap.

Pissed. Off.

Although with my record maybe it's a good thing

OK people... latest reports are that the ticket cops only get a shit on if you don't know who the fancard owner is, so I'll give y'all details of their name, address and dob when I give you them. You will be tasked with memorising these details so you can pretend they're your mate or whatever.

I'm gonna ask the missus to brave the match traffic & pick me up at half 7 I think, much as I like the harry watching the match on their shite TV on my own seems pointless what with everyone having to shoot off afterwards. I'll get the harry for 6 so still get to meet you lads & enjoy a pint or two pre match.

I am going to be at the game tonight! Fingers crossed for a massive win.

Last game I went to was the 5-1 demolition of Arsenal! Lets hope for something similar!

Reading between the lines I wonder this is to do with fake tickets & not lending of tickets. Not seen a message in the press about counterfeit tickets for donkeys years.

At the risk of looking like a complete idiot, I'll ask anyway, how can there be counterfeit tickets these days, when everyone knows you need a fan card to get in?

Is it a case of people not realising it's a card scan machine system, and are gullible enough to buy a "paper" ticket?

I assume so. The fact that they're checking cards at the same time makes me suspicious there may be some fake cards floating about too, but that's all supposition on my part.

I've heard one of the reasons people are getting them taking off them is trying to pass them back

In the general sale you can buy more that one ticket. One ticket is activated on your card and the rest are posted out as paper tickets. Someone could go up to the ticket office with ID and say they lost their tickets. They are printed a duplicate and then they sell both and head off with the cash. They used to happen anyway.

I now have visions of Spion galloping up Anfield Road on an imaginary horse, coconuts in hand clippity clopping Monty Python style.

Can we rename him Sir Percival?

First time going to Anfield genuinely worried about not getting in. Know this guy's name that's it.

You meeting anyone who has been to Anfield before you go in? If so ask them to show you how to do the card on the sensor (what side to put on it) & just watch everyone else.

Try to get the lads address too if you can, just in case. Same rules as getting clubs when you're a kid though I suppose, just try not to look worried.

I'm sure you'll be fine mate.

You'll be fine mate,

When I went to Arsenal game, the sensor wasn't working so just had to put the card inside the card holder sorta thing.

On that note, time to hit the road upto Anfield!

Come on you Redmen!!!

I'm not mate, no. Just over with my Dad who i'm actually more worried about looking like a lost pup(he only does about 2 games a season) and the Stewards stopping him.

Yeah we're making a few phone calls now to get these 2 lads D.O.B, Addresses etc.

Hopefully all will be ok.
