20M for a player who cost us 17M in a less expensive time.... i certainly hope not.

Gerrard should most fucking definitely not travel with England for a friendly against Brazil in the middle east.

And from the sounds of it patched up or not we could actually have something like a strong team out for the first time in 5 weeks on monday.

So we sack a manager who, despite spending loads of money, is unable to do any better than his predecessor and we're going to replace him with a manager who, despite spending lots of money, is unable to do any better than his predecessor.

Bearing in mind O'Neill's predecessor was David O'Leary you'd have to be mental to consider him as a potential LFC manager.

not as well as Houllier? he's got more points in a tougher environment and won a European cup you fool

What's going on with Huntelaar?

I know Madrid's a bit of a circus but if he hasn't cut it at two big clubs, you have to start questioning if he's really any good at all.

Poor old Terry's Dad is in a spot of bovver... What a family!

The father of England football captain John Terry has been caught dealing cocaine, according to the News Of The World.
Ted Terry, 55, was filmed by the newspaper allegedly fixing a deal to supply the illegal Class A drug.
It was reported that Mr Terry Snr handed over three wraps of coke in the toilet of an Essex wine bar, taking a £40 profit and telling an undercover reporter, 'The stuff's all right. I get off on it.'

It is said that after selling the drugs to the reporter, who pretended to be a chauffeur buying it for his wealthy boss, Mr Terry Snr insisted the man made no mention of his son.
'This is just between me and you,' he allegedly told the man. 'Don't tell him that I'm John Terry's dad. I can't have this going back. I'm not saying that they'll say anything, but you never know.'
The scandal comes just months after John Terry's mother, Sue, was cautioned by police after shop-lifting goods from Marks & Spencer and Tesco.
The News Of The World said it launched its investigation after a tip-off that Ted Terry was laying on drug transactions.

The newspaper reported that jobless Mr Terry Snr, who is separated from John's mother, bragged in his local pub that he doesn't need to work because John had bought him a mortgage-free house and tickets for luxury family holidays to Dubai and Florida.
But according to the newspaper, Mr Terry Snr was still keen to fix a drug deal between the reporter and his supplier - as long as he was "treated" in return.
And, with an eye to setting up more deals between the pusher and his wealthy new contacts, Mr Terry Snr allegedly said: 'If they're happy with it, talk to me and I'll most probably be able to get you discount.
'I can most probably get it f***ing cheaper but he don't know you, so he's charging you the right price, know what I mean?
The video footage of the drug deal has been posted on the News Of The World website.

John Terry's spokespeople were not available for comment.

No wonder the receded, slit eyed gimp is always throwing himself in way of the ball. It's presumably his version of self-harm.

Huntelaar

If played in a 442 with Gerrard and Aquaman behind that would be a great buy if we sold Masher and still made a profit.

selling masch for 20 million in january would be stupid.

1 - he's got to be worth at least 10 million more to a club like barca
2 - we've yet to see aquilani play a league game and by all means he sounds like an offensive central midfielder. i don't think two offensive central midfielders in gerrard and aquilani in a 442 would work.

i'm all for bringing in a second striker and i don't think i'm the only one who would have rather seen huntelaar rather than kuyt

with the players we have i think and the clear need to accommodate a quality second striker its only a matter of time before rafa changes formation to a 4132 or even a 433.

Wow I can reply to your posts again safe in the knowledge you can't call me a fool.

Although strangely we seem to agree on Liverpool plight this season.

i.e the league is a right off and was well before Utd came to Anfield.

Side note.

Have you done a U U turn on Aurelio now? I.e that he's not good (fit long) enough for us?

Has yossi done enough to prove he was worthwhile purchase as I remember you really did'nt rate him for a very long time. He's been probably the only *good* performer this year outside of Reina Johnson and Torres.

I thought that was ridiculous too.

In one match thread this site will lose half it's posters, if this is the required standard.

Dreamy, I haven't targeted you in an age. I decided I like you ages ago

Did you see your name on my hated posters list? No

And no, I don't like slowrelio or casper

I have no idea or whaddapie is. Is he a mod for any particular reason, other than being in the US?

He's never even blinked on my radar before now

How can you not like Yossi? Yes he has a tendency to hold onto the ball for too long but he is cracking little player for us. He has been great for the past 12 months or so.

Nope but I'm not mental which seems to be no1 criteria these days so its all good.

I think Yossi has proven over the last 12 months (when played in the hole) thats well worth a spot in our first 14 at least.

This season alone in the two games he's played in the hole he's scored a hat trick and sliced Utd open for torres to score. Shame he doesn't get a run there with Gerrard replacing Lucas. I think he could convince even his biggest doubters that he belongs.

He's inconsistent and should be -at best- a squad player

That he isn't says it all about our squad, really
