Summer rebuild 2023

I've gone completely off Gallagher after watching him more.
He is like little terrier with short feet that move fast while hardly moving forward. Stay clear.
I was just saying I would have Gallagher over Frank, and if Klopp did sign him after signing the main 3 we've been linked I wouldn't complain

Want us to be nowhere near Kessie - not good enough
I've never heard of him but his departure appears to be linked with Ruben Neves arrival at Barca so I'm thinking we should be bidding for Neves.

‘Significant investment’ for Liverpool

There have naturally been concerns about what the Liverpool transfer budget might look like for summer. A major rebuild is needed, but FSG has always operated a mostly self-sustaining model, and the failure to qualify for the Champions League will be a major hit to the revenue streams.
However, The Athletic claims that FSG will nonetheless make 'significant funds' available to Klopp this summer. Fans would no doubt rather see a number placed on it, but it's an encouraging update.
After all, from a purely financial perspective, the owners know that it is imperative to get back into the Champions League. Avoiding a prolonged absence is in everyone's best interests, and that means investing heavily and wisely in the playing squad.
Liverpool.com says: The interests of Liverpool and FSG have generally been broadly aligned, even if the business lens and the supporter lens are very different. Constantly competing at the top level is what fans want, and it also happens to hugely increase the value of the 'brand'.
Hopefully, that at-times uneasy alliance can bring more success back to Anfield very soon. 'Significant' on-pitch investment this summer is a positive start.

Let's say our summer signings are Ali Mak (£45m) Thuram (£50m), Kone (£35m) and Viega (£35m) which equates to £165m. Now if we don't get a RB and a CB, would you be unhappy as Klopp will reply saying Hendo can play RB and if needed Fab can play CB?

I mean we're not signing 4 midfielders in 1 window lol, that's absurd.

A RB I can live without until I see the progress of Ramsay/Bradley in the first team.....a CB for me is needed, even if it means we only sign 2 midfielders (which is the most likely)

I think after getting two midfielders, a center back should be focus

Should we be in for Caicedo too? £110-120m for the pair, how would we all have felt about that figure a few months ago

We have to consider who has departed and so need to be replaced. Make that 3xCM + 1xCB and I'd be very happy - if all are already quality with further potential.

+ a quality right-back, so Patterson or whatever his name, can go on loan.

Yea i can never remember his name either, he has looked decent to me though in his fleeting appearances

We bought Ramsay so he, and I like Bradley too, need to be given a chance. Ramsay esp. being ridiculously unlucky but hopefully he'll be fully fit for next season and we'll get to see why the scouting team went for him.

Our scouting team have been really poor Imo since Klopp arrived.

What young players are they responsible and can take credit for bringing in here?

Gordon, Bajcetic, Elliott, Ramsay, Solanke, Hoever, Carvalho, Pitaluga, Koumetio, Sepp VDB, Grujic.

It's not been pretty has it?

I really think we need to loan him out for the season - coming back from a long-term injury is hard, but he will need to play through it and he won’t get the minutes here.

I like Bradley and hopefully he’ll impress Klopp in pre-season. But we still need to buy a RB IMO.

How many right backs do we need?

At least 2, no? I’m not counting Bradley who played further forward last season for Bolton and if Ramsey is loaned out we only have Trent and Gomez (who many of us would like to be sold).

I think we could do a lot worse than pick up either Kyle Walker Peters or Justin James (if he's recovered). I'm sure they'll both cost less than £14m, and can be cover for both RB and LB.

He played FB and mainly RWB, so I don't think you can discount him as a FB, especially given the way Klopp has played his FBs historically. He has also played consistently at RB and RWB for Northern Ireland, and has looked excellent there despite playing in a very pedestrian team.
