Fabs is renowned as the slowest player in the squad. Matip is much faster, Gomez a Ferrari to Fabs' Ford.Look at Matip? Nats? So, the team has to modify it's play to suit a slower back line. Klopp isn't going to sell Fabs, so I am wondering where he fits, and he played CB really well in covid season. He had an awful campaign this year but he was turning it around towards the end of the season
Hendo can't play the Milner role because he hardly makes a tackle these days. At least Millie took them out, game set and match.Yes, I also think Thiago will cling on. We should sell, but I doubt something will occur.
Hendo for the Milner role, but an expensive one.
I'm pretty sure you can sign but not be registered until that date.Also, as the transfer window opens for Premier League clubs on Wednesday 14 June, Alli Mac won't sign until then.
We are NOT buying those 4 midfielders (or any 4 midfielders) this Summer.Our midfield options should be as follows from next season;
Macallister - Thuram - Kone
(Jones) - (Gravenburch) - (Bajcetic)
in reserve - Morton
Or something like that, get it all sorted now and we wouldn't need to worry about the midfield for another 4-5 years.
If you wanna talk about a rebuild, this would be it....signing 2 midfielders and a defender isn't a rebuild, that's just an ordinary summer window.

Did Klopp mention a 'rebuild'? The reality is we have a budget, you have overinflated prices being banded about by clubs, especially European ones which only big clubs can afford.Our midfield options should be as follows from next season;

Ali Mac, Kone, Thuram and if its true we also look to get Benjamin Pavard then we've fixed CB and RB issues. That's a strong team to put out for next season. Parvard will probably replace Matip.
Being linked is one thing, but getting over the line is another. So jorge has a lot of work to do. Those 4 are very exciting signings.

Gomez is a liability.. how often do we see him flap around like bambi on ice? I can't influence Klopp's/TC's decision as to who to buy and sell ( even though I jest otherwise). I still think fab has something to offer, and he has played CB for us and has done it really well. He's had an off-season, and hopefully, that blip's over. I think Gomez is still our most valuable sellable asset we don't need.Where does Fabs fit???
How about as a DM - like… his position.
We can sign other midfielders and rotate - we don’t have to sell Gomez and plug that gap with a midfielder.
Sign Thuram, Ugarte, Kone.. whoever we can afford - but don’t do it by weakening another part of the team by relying on a player who patently cannot fill that roll.
Theres’s a reason Matip doesn’t get near the first team when Konate is fit, and Nat Phillips is only marginally ahead of Klopp pulling off his trackie pants, sticking a shirt on and going out to play CB in his undies!!!
Sell Philips, sell Matip if anyone will buy him, sell Rhys Williams, promote Van den Berg to 5th choice and maybe there’s £20m’ish to spend on a 4th choice CB.
What happens to the CB available on a free that the “brain trust” had a hard on about a few months back?

Are you saying you're happy with Gomez as part of our back 4? He is either injured or behaving like Bambi on ice. Even though I think he is sh1t, he is still worth £30m.Nat, Thiago, Matip, Clarkson, and Morton are not close to that in fees.Bravo… you’ve gone from claiming Gomez is a liability to bring our most valuable sellable asset in one paragraph.
We’d likely get the same by selling Phillips, Williams and Van den Berg as we would Gomez.
I’d shift Matip first - although we’d get less for him.
If Van den Berg is capable of stepping up and being 4th choice CB, then maybe we sell all of them and bring in 2 new CB’s
Or we keep either Gomez or Matip, sell the rest and buy one CB.
I’d keep Gomez - yes he can be a liability - but he can cover a few roles, at least, in theory, has the pace to play in our high line, us home grown and has a few more years left in the clock (and contract).
He’s looked promising enough etc but jeez, I reckon even my ma would be a 40m player nowadays.

What I'd like and what Klopp does is two different things, and the likelihood is Gomez will stay and Klopp might change tactics as he did with CJ to make him less like a dear in headlights until then I'll want him out.
Though I'm hoping Bradley will take the next step up. The bigger issue is LB if we sell Tsimikas - as some of our FM posters are suggesting. I don't see any merit in that either. We have a decent player that is 'happy' to play from the bench.Surprisingly enough I thought his best games for us last season were when he turned out at RB, where he'd been hopeless while he was doing well at CB. Given that (a) money's tight and (b) he also did well at LB in some early games for us, it would make sense to hold on to a player who can do a job across the back four.

Hahaha ! Moron's never-ending bromance.Sorry but Klopp had fuck all to do with making Curtis good, he was a brilliant talented player already. Evidence is there for all to see, Curtis plays ... we dont lose games, coz we have someone who is supreme at keeping the ball, can pass, can score, and is also strong.

CJ without Klopp is at best a league 1 mid table team player.Sorry but Klopp had fuck all to do with making Curtis good, he was a brilliant talented player already. Not true. The last time I mentioned Hungarian Dom was when he played for RB Salzberg. I haven't mentioned him since as his valuation has skyrocketed. If we get Ali Mac, Thorum and Kone. I don't think I'll bemoan the MF situation for a couple of seasons. If we get the Hungarian Dom, wonderful. It will mean we have the tallest squad in Europe, and we will play a lot more set plays.We’ve got Moron in love with Curtis, Binomial in love with Nunez, Bluebell in love with every midfielder in existence not currently at the club, Dreamie in love with himself, Mo & Man Utd and Donner Van in love with absolutely nothing…
Good times
