Depends if we want someone who’s a powerhouse or someone who’s more the athletic type.

I’d rather Nunes personally.

I think we need 1 athletic type and creative type. Athletic type is a gini style workhorse. Creative could be any type of creativity; whether it's all action or through passes

If we got jude, i'd put him in the creative, as he would be all action and getting forward; so for me we'd need an athletic type to compliment. Either Onana or a Thuram is ideal. Maybe even a gallagher if we're scrimping.

Nunes could be an adequate creative outlet instead of jude. Nowhere near as good, but certainly the creative type.

I mean, I agree with signing onana as he's got a high ceiling. But iwobi? Fucks sake man
Looked great against Spurs the other night and would out do both Fab and Henderson...
Think people here are blinded by their hate for Everton

I literally just said i'd be alright with signing another everton midfielder, so thats just nonsense to kick off

Difference is, Iwobi is 26 and only NOW showing any kind of form. Lets not say ability good enough to play for us; just form. There's a reason they're near the drop.

Iwobi has developed into a very good player to be fair. Like Gini, he’s a wide player converted into a hard working, strong, energetic ball carrying player.

There’s better, younger options out there, but he’s a solid enough player.

I remain entirely unconvinced he's anywhere as strong, technically gifted or intelligent as gini was. And i was a gini critic.
I may be being overly harsh, but i just cant see it

I’m referring to Gini at the point we bought him from Newcastle, pre Klopp converting and improving him into a brilliant number 8.

I’m not saying Iwobi would fulfil the same fantasy, but I can see some similarities in his play as a late bloomer.

There’s a huge gulf between those who would do a better job than our current midfielders and the level we need to aim for. Most names I recognise over the past few pages fall into that gulf.

Yes. When we've placed our faith in Bajectic, hoped for an appearance of the lesser-spotted Curtis Jones, and clamor for Klopp to finally unleash the undeniably world class Arthur, it doesn't take a lot to be better. But it takes a lot more to be good enough.

Come on guys - Iwobi would be a perfect signing for us.

It’s essential we get some new blood into the scapegoat position to challenge Trent & Harvey, especially given Ox & Naby won’t be there.

Iwobi is the sort of generational scapegoat that could change our destiny in an instant.

He’d be our best scapegoat signing since Paul Konchesky.

And with a bit of guidance from Pep, he could reach new levels

Rags reporting Henry willing to sanction the €150m signing of Jude. My biggest fear is we end up with 1-2 signings when we need at least 4.

Free transfers, loans, promote the kids.

We “could” manage with two if the two are very, very good.

Our kids aren't really that good. Morton according to Blackburn Rovers fans has been poor the last time I checked their forums.
If he got 3 players on a free, I would not complain. For me going into next season with 2 new signings would not be enough.
I trust in Klopp but I not so much the players. Anyways, he wants Jude this bad, then let's pray Jude makes us title challengers again

So Jude, gallagher/mount, tielemens n'dicka i'd be.....fine with i guess. I'd rather thuram than either mount or gallagher. Can't see us getting tielemens however. More likely to re-sign keita

I have seen extremely weak rumours that the investment coming might be a 10% sale to some crowd from Singapore. If that number at least is correct how much goes into transfers?

10% of £4bn is £400m. £200m would I guess go to Klopp, £50m from his normal transfer allotment plus what ever from sales but I am guessing Klopp will try to keep who he has at the moment with at least 4 departures

probably accurate, 200m window aside from Bellingham would get us to a a good place imo

The "Think people here are blinded by their hate for Everton" was not aimed at you
But rather to the post made by @momoWASboss

Id rather drag my balls through broken glass, cover them in petrol and attack them with a blowtorch.

Sorry should have made it clearer
