Summer rebuild 2023

No doubt. Klopp doesnt go full Rafa or Conte or Mourinho. He also understands that we need to live within our means. But even within those parameters, we play it way too safe sometimes and I sure he is frustrated.
I think we get them right even though a bit late. The number one targets that people rave on about are not guarantees in my view. Also I think if Klopp gets the players he can work with in terms of intelligence and skill level, am pretty sure they will be good enough.

There's that deadly phrase again: "good enough". If we'd let it guide us when Southampton were playing their nasty little games we'd have signed someone less good than Virgil and then, in all probability, wouldn't have no.6 or no.19. No transfer is a guarantee but the better the player you sign, the better the chance that it'll pay off. Quality does matter.

Teun Koopmeiners is a player that can play virtually anywhere on the pitch including CB. At €30m I would say its value for money. He scores alot of goals too. 10 last seasons. 15 in the Eredivisiein 2019. He is the ideal Jordan Hendo replacement.

Yes it does, but I have doubts about all the said quality....like Barella, Caicedo, and other over priced fuckers like Tchoumaini. If Barella was so fucking good then why have Italy failed to qualify for 2 world cups in a row ?, if Caicedo was so great why is he so shit against more phaysical midfields who can run etc ? Also, any players from teams that failed to beat us before our 10 man unbeaten run, I have serious doubts about those players because we were fucking garbage, no running no physical presnce just cones to jog past. I think Lavia is gonna be a stand out player, ready to take on the best because he has the skills and believes in himself. You cave these other quality players but ultimately they need to be coached to play how we do and be consistent. Everything will be determined by that.

Did we really want Keita to stay? Shudders ….

And after the season we’ve just had to even think we wanted the other 5 to stay also smacks of idiocy.

The club? Yes in a hope to sell him for a fee. The fans? Fuck no.

Let us be honest. If Keita had signed a contract extension, we would not be signing one of Szobo, Mac Allister, or Lavia. No chance any club pays a fee for Keita. Even the Saudis didnt want anything to do with him or Ox.

Well yes… he kind of has.

The 10 goals he scored from midfield last season, building on the 5 from the year before, kind of gives it away.

Sofyan Amrabat is a defensive midfielder and thus more of a replacement of Fabinho
where as Alexis Mac Allisteris a midfielder an more incline to play the Henderson role therefore goals is not his (Amrabat's) main job, He is more of a midfield destoryer

Good for him - but that’s not the point.

You argued that Mac A had hardly set the Premier League alight - and you were wrong.

The fact remains that Amrabat, apart from a couple of games at the World Cup, has never looked capable of being anything other than an average player at a mid table club.

So a manc?

Amrabat is still shit whatever he meant.

Wouldn't say he's shit, he's a decent but fairly limited player who's recently made a bigger name for himself from his world cup displays and Fiorentina's run to the ECL final where he really looked far better than Rice did on the night. Now of course a handful of games isn't the be all and end all but he has something about him.

We've signed a lot of fantastic players who flopped at Liverpool, some were high risk. We've signed a lot of players who weren't meant to be anything but a squad player but have cemented their name in the history books. Have you by any chance come across a TV show called "the 100 players that shook the Kop?"

As far as Alexis setting the Prem alight.....not yet but he's well on his way and has a better chance now at a bigger club, yes he's scored 10 goals but 6 of them were pens.

It’s all very well saying we should have sold Naby, Ox and other squaddies but not sure if it’s all on Klopp. Depends on what the replacements options were I would suspect. Judging by now we are handling Hendo, Milner and Fabs departures, I can’t imagine he would had a huge
amount flexibility to bring in replacements.

Utd very rarely buy dude plays and the fact that they are showing intrest in him speaks for itself

I mean, I know you’re pretty thick - I just didn’t realise how thick.

I’m not sure how , in your head, scoring the same equates to being surpassed (Eze & Maddison) - it when you take out the midfielders that play as forwards (Saka, Foden, Barnes, you’re left with 2 midfielders that scored more (Almiron & Odegaard).

Wouldnt be just easier to say - “yeah Mac A had a really good season last year and he looks like he’s on an upward trajectory and was a steal at £35m” than continue to make a twat out of yourself… again.

That’s even before we get on to the “Utd rarely buy dudes” - it’d be easier to list the players that haven’t been whopping cock-wombles in the last decade - Sancho, Maguire, Anthony, Fred, Bailley, Lindeloff, Martial, Wan-Bissaka, van der Beek… and they’re just the ones in the current squad… before we even get to Ronaldo MkII, Lukaku, de Maria, Pogba…

I could go on… but I might do myself an injury laughing so hard at the shite they’ve bought.

You’re Dreamies alternate account aren’t you?
