Luis Suarez 'targeted by Real Madrid in £30million raid'

Real Madrid are ready to take advantage of Luis Suarez’s unrest in England, and make Liverpool a £30million offer in an attempt to bring the striker to Spain.

The Uruguayan is currently serving an eight-match ban for racially abusing Manchester United’s Patrice Evra, and is reportedly disillusioned with his situation in the Premier League.

Suarez feels he has been made a scapegoat in the race row with Evra, and Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has also staunchly defended the forward, insisting his words had been ‘wrongly interpreted’.

But the striker has received no sympathy from the Football Association, and will likely be targeted by rival fans when he returns to action in February.

This has supposedly led Madrid to believe they have a genuine chance of landing the 24-year-old, and Spanish reports claim they are ready to test the Reds resolve to hang onto their man with a £30million bid.

It’s unlikely Liverpool will be willing to entertain the offer, but should Suarez himself put in a transfer request, their position might change.

Meanwhile, Dalglish is rumoured to have made a loan offer for Inter Milan’s 19-year-old forward Luc Castaignos, who the manager wants to act as cover for Suarez during his suspension.

Offering only £6million more than we paid a year ago is a bit insulting, least he should leave for is £40m, not that I want him to.

Other than the possibility that we got first refusal on Enrique we bought them 6 months apart and for 2 separate fees. Although out of the 2 enrique is a lot closer to the £35 million valuation than big Andy ever will be 😛

Appaz we were offered VdV as part of the Alonso deal, and we were also offered Sturridge as a makeweight in the Torres deal. Next time we get offered a player we should take it.
