you're obsessed with this despite not knowing the full facts of the case you've decided in your head we were only a few million away from nabbing him when in fact the evidence is we were alot further away as Del Nido wanted 20 odd million and them asking for a few million more was their own tactic to try and get us there and value their asset at a greater price

I believe we're going to sign him.

Based on the pure facts of my thoughts, that's just how I roll.

What do you mean? That's the best news we've had throughout all of this.

Re: Suarez paves the way for Anfield switch as Babel nears the exit door

4m diff in valuations? It's 95% in the bag. For the first time in 2 years we'll have more than one striker. The mind boggles...

Re: Suarez paves the way for Anfield switch as Babel nears the exit door

Until we sell Torres the next day.

Re: Suarez paves the way for Anfield switch as Babel nears the exit door

Who knew that Barclay bloke was right.

Suarez in = Torres out

Not expecting for you to divulge your source, but do you have good reason to believe them?

99.999999% I'm told and yes good source. Ajax have supposedly lowered their asking price. Nothings guaranteed mate, never is.

Re: Suarez paves the way for Anfield switch as Babel nears the exit door

That's good enough for me.

That, and the O'Hareometer, of course.

Re: Suarez paves the way for Anfield switch as Babel nears the exit door

Not really Asbo, what I'd really like is for us to keep Torres and sign Suarez.

But all this pussy footing around Torres does my head right in. He's one player, the club is, even at it's crapest, bigger than him. The media and on here are always banging on about 'we have to keep Torres happy': no we don't. We're Liverpool Football Club and we need to win games, and we need players who want to do that. Not people who need to be pandered to all the time. And that's what I feel we've been doing for the past two years. And his performances up until a couple of weeks ago simply haven't warranted special treatment.

I just hate the idea of being held to ransom by players. Like I feel we have with Torres.

I don't ever want players here who don't want to be here, and I feel like he doesn't. Obviously I could be wrong (it has been known), but that's just what I think.

Re: Suarez paves the way for Anfield switch as Babel nears the exit door

Yeah, 'cause you said all that about Xabi !

Re: Suarez paves the way for Anfield switch as Babel nears the exit door

Well neets I am sure you are wrong, and the proof one way or the other will be if he is here on Tuesday morning.

Nothing he has done has made me think he doesn't want to be here.

I could understand his unhappiness at all the long balls during HodgePodge's reign, who wants to chase long balls all day?

If his goal would have stood on Weds, it would have been his 5th since Kenny came back, play the right tactics and have happy players.

Everyone was feeling down under Hodge from the Fans to the Players.

Not that I want to re-open that saga. But I do believe a large part of him leaving was because he was mismanaged by Rafa. That said he's gone now and I don't spare him much thought, he left so he can piss off. That's how I feel about pretty much every player who *chooses* to leave us when they're still needed/wanted. Same for McManaman, Owen etc.

I care about LFC.

normally I'd agree but we simply haven't been challenging and the fallout of that is obviously players getting their head turned. nesv need to prove their ambition to torres, to gerrard, to pepe and to the fans, they need to prove that their ambition matches our ambition.
sure, no one is bigger than the club but if we want to return to where we want to be we are going to need more players like torres, not less.
