mark, my point is they identified the guy as their top target so if our valueation is off by (for example) 8 million, isn't it better to spend that 8m on our NUMBER ONE target then gave save money on our second choice target. didn't we bulk at the vidic price and subsequently move for skrtel? well...the prosecution rests, your honour.

On Vidic, I thought we'd agreed a deal only for Man Utd to trump us by about 3m or so. We were never going to get into an auction for him once a price had been agreed. Skrtel (Agger?) wasn't much cheaper in the end.
