Same here. I can understand why he didn't want to shake Evra's hand and I'd back him had he told Kenny in advance that he couldn't and wouldn't. However, once he promised Kenny he'd shake Evra's hand he should have done so.

If its really true that the young are going against Suarez like you say then I am surprised at the male supporters for reacting like that becuase Suarez did not comply. If you look closely at the video footage of the handshake - Evra's whole body language turns nasty as Suarez approaches. So if Suarez had any intention of actually shaking his hand - it would have gone out of his mind with a little glimpse of Evra's appearance as he approached. I am not even going to say he was phsyched out by Evra - what I will say is that he was put off by his attitude through Evra's body language. At that point Suarez probably thought - "Screw you - I am not gonna give you that satisfaction" - and too f*cking right. We all know that if Suarez leaves us for a big club in the continent he will by accounts make a great name for himself - and will be one of the best players in the world, Evra will remain Mr. Average and he will live with the knowledge that a one time best player in the world refused to shake his hand. That's priceless !!!!

i think you are harsh on Evra... people do forget. I bet almost everyone have forgot how no Real Madrid player bothered to change shirt with Phil Neville. Even after one in the staff had asked in the wardrobe afterwords noone still bothered to give him their shirt. Average shit tends to be forgotten 🙂

I don't think I am - I remember that Spanish player we had (Rafa fell out with him as usual) on the left wing also took him for a nice little ride in his first season. I think its so funny at times, this guy always finds it tough against us and usually gets upset by one of our boys every time he plays against us. He knew what he was doing when he decided to take action against Suarez - he knew. You see I come from an ethnic minority and in the past I have been called certain names but I know when someone says it and I can look in his eyes and know he is a racist, that usually hurts. In the report that was presented to the FA - he himself said that he doesn't believe that Suarez is racist - so why report him ? - he knew the context in which Suarez was talking to him. If he was that upset by Suarez - why offer to shake hands ? - I know I would never shake hands with an overtly racist individual. Suarez made sure that day he did not get the best of him - and rightly so.

I agree 110% with you. And as I have said many times. If racism was the issue he has had plenty of time to show it after the incident. By keeping shut, he shows that racism isn't a big enough issue to voice his concern on.
