It's quite funny now to think that at the start of the season Lambert was talking privately to several hacks about how aggrieved he felt that Rodgers had been overrated as a youngish coach while he had been under-appreciated. Quite a bit of sneering went on. His view was that Rodgers had talked himself up whilst he had suffered for getting on with his job.
