I'm afraid I think that's a case of putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5. I see what you're getting at, but I don't think those words carry any extra connotation over and above their normal natural meaning.

Still, I guess the proof of the pudding will be in the eating and it may well be that none of us will know for sure till next summer arrives. If there IS a decision to be made over this, though, it'll be because we've done well. Here's hoping. 8)

Come to think of it, is there a possibility that Clarke, if the rumours are true, joins us on short term basis with view to a permanent one - regardless of who the perm manager is? Be it an assistant manager or First team coach. That'll allow some sort of transition and the new man - should it not be Kenny, and most probably a foreign manager, will have capable help and knowledge of the league. Something similiar to Mourinho-Clarke or even Houllier-Thompson (i.e. not necessarily the manager's long known right hand man)?

Fair enough. You're the most frustrating poster ever Brendan - primarily because I do believe you're intelligent and (sometimes) humorous. You just come across as nasty and spiteful and I'm just being honest. And I know for fact you're driving away posters from here because of that attitude or perceived attitude.
