I really am quite amazed with all the attention Pacheco gets.

Isn't it this like his 2nd game this season?
 
The thing that really stands out about Roys tactical inability, is changing things around during games. Tactically we just play the same for the entire game, and he does nothing to sort out our shortcomings.

We are all over the place. 3-4 players are using the same space, and Steaua are just playing the ball around us every time.

Do something Roy. It's not enough of a tactical involvement to drag all 10 players in our own penalty box after taking the lead.

Fuck off I'm fed up with his horredous tactical displays.

Cups, Europe, friendlies, etc. I don't know, but I've been disappointed every time.

I wish I could have witnessed anything that would help me to understand the hype around Pacheco and Shelvey, none of them have done anything in the games

Maybe because they were chasing the ball for 90 mins? We have a manager that doesn't like to attack or play football through the midfield. It's not easy playing as a midfielder under those conditions.
 
a) It's clear to everyone but Roy that if you are to play Pacheco on a wing he would do better on the Left, its just his style. The beautiful goals he has scored and his phenomenal play for Spain U19s has all come from cutting in from the left.

b) Again, for about the 7th time this season, when we are away and go ahead Roy refuses to go for the throat. Instead he sits back on what he has and we lose or tie. Its sickening, the fact is if we score in the first half we have no chance of winning a game. We need to go in tied cause its the only time our second half performances hold any merit.

c) When we finished 2nd in the league it was largely down to late goals being scored thanks to us dominating possession in the other teams half. We don't even come close to being able to do that under Roy and it makes watching the end of a match that we are losing/tying/only winning by one goal a fucking chore.
 
With the tactics and formation that was used, if that game is used to judge Pacheco....fuck off.

Pacheco has been disapointing the 2-3 times he's played this season. But let's face it, we're hardly the kind of team and Hodgson's hardly the kind of manager under which a slightly built, skilful, attacking-player-with-no-real-position is going to fluorish.

I don't agree about Shelvey at all though. Shelvey's already put in some superb performances and shown a lot of ability in them. He's had a disappointing last couple of outings, but don't forget that one game was where he was playing RM, and today, he was quite literally the sole man in central midfield. Plus he's fucking 17. He has more than just potential and I'll be fucking pissed off if we froze him out.
 
I don't mean just today Hansern, I mean anytime I've seen them play, I guess it doesn't help that they are usually playe out of position. I'm not having a go, I genuinely wish I had seen
something that could help me believe in them

I do actually think Pacheco could be very good by the way, but the way people assume he should be in the squad/playing all the time is what I don't get.
 
Nani was shite until about a year ago regardless of the potential.
Now he looks a proper player. Its waaaaaay to early to write these kids off. Evidence would suggest its also waaaaay to early to play them yet too.
Kelly being the notable exception.
Kelly should be in the first team.
 
Oh I agree, I'm not writing them off at all, I just wish
we saw a bit more from them when they played, and it is the offensive players in particular, and like i said to some degree that has to be down to the fact that they're beig played out of position.

I don't think it applies to the defensive players, Wilson played well today and Kelly would already be my first choice RB
 
Hopefully Roy won't have a say on who stays and goes regarding the young players at our club. As he isn't going to be here for a long period of time and will be off sooner rather than later.
