I've got them backed to win the league at 30/1 but this Vertonghen injury is a huge blow, his partnership with Alderweireld has been immense. I'm gonna take a risk that they won't miss him too much away to Norwich next week but I'll be looking to lay the bet off for profit after that. On a slightly related note....I wasted £10 yesterday by backing LFC to win the league @ 110/1..........if we beat Leicester next week the odds should almost halve.

I suppose they'll go with Dier to drop down into CB instead of the rarely-used Wimmer and apparently outbound Fazio. That would then open up a space for Bentaleb to step into the DM spot I suppose? Not sure how that plays out.

Anyway, I suspect we'll put in a little charge to get close to the CL spot, say get to within about a couple of points, and then choke again maybe around late Feb / whole of March when we have a tough stretch of games (hopefully including a final!).

Losing Vertonghen will hit them pretty hard. Dier is nowhere near as good at CB as he's become at DM.
