Yes, strikers not named Didier Drogba really do well when they're by themselves for 90 minutes without barely seeing the ball ... He showed great movement, great desire and had one good chance that the keeper made a decent save on. He'll be fine.

I wanted him to play with three strikers, rather than use our normally shit wingers. I know we're short right now (which is due to Rodgers being a dick I might add), but if he had this in mind then he could have played Morgan for now, and taken Pacheco and Suso along too. As it is, Borini is the striker, and he will get dropped for Suarez. That's the simple plan. I had a feeling it would be when Rodgers first mentioned that he was a very similar type of player to Suarez.

This kind of talk was useful a couple months back when everything was still conceptual and we had big ideas. But today's performance should bring you back to reality surely? There's no fluid, or unpredictable attacks, the fairytale bullshit should be over now. We need to be realistic, players who can keep the ball by passing it backwards and sideways. And then as many players as possible who can swing their foot and smash the ball hard towards the goal. Those are the two things we should be looking for.
