I think it's pretty obvious Dantes that it's preseason essentially, a few of the players haven't had much game time and these games are all about putting in a professional performance (we tried, and got away with it, as we have in many of these types of games). Regards there being two games left, yes, two games to get ourselves fitter for when it really matters. I don't see how going overboard about a European game at this stage either helps or has any kind of point. We were shit, quelle surprise. Have a look at the stats for our early European ventures over the last decade.

Why constantly bring up Downing, Adam and Spearing? Because they are more or less the only players in the squad who bother me. Henderson is annoying but I wouldn't mind him sticking around, ditto Carroll. Carra is still Carra.

I think everyone's dick was hard for this match as it was the first competitive game against a european minnow. I can't speak for everyone else but my expectations were through the roof. I certainly thought the players would be up for it more, and that by now we might have a bit more cohesion after the the games we've already played. I'll admit that It's absurd but I can understand where the groans are coming from.
