So Bolton... FA Cup Replay

No we won't (unless you're referring to my confidence in ten men being capable of doing the job so we can save the rest for Everton) ! * cough. Thanks Studsup !

Everyone of them would walk into the Bolton side so no reason to expect them to not get through.

Everyone in the home leg would have walked into the side, not that simple unfortunately.

It's Jordan Henderson, no he won't.
Ha. Joking aside, I have noticed him blowing & unable to put himself around the pitch as much as at times last season, especially towards the end of matches.

He's still almost superhuman, considering Lallana is the only player who covers as much ground as him in the entire league & he can't do it for 90 minutes consistently, but he's got his limits.

Darren Pratley missing for Bolton with injury, he'll be a big miss for them and should make our job a bit easier. Also their no.1 keeper who played so well at Anfield, Adam Bogdan, will apparently miss the game with injury too. If we win this game we will be playing 6 games in 23 days so we need to rest a few..................

....................................Ming.................................
...........Can...........Skrtel.........Lovren............
Manquillo.........................................Glenjo/Enrique
..........................Lucas.....Allen.....................
...........Markovic.......Sterling.......Lallana.........

Sterling has had a break, Lucas and Markovic have only recently be playing regularly. Skrtel deserves a break sometime soon but we need him for this game.

This should mean Gerrard*, Hendo, Coutinho, Moreno and Sakho are fresh for the Everton game.

*I think sentimentality will get the better of Brodge and I full expect Gerrard to start in his last Merseyside derby.

Unless we meet them in the Europa League, this weekend's visit to Goodison Park will be Gerrard's last Merseyside derby. From a sentimental standpoint, you have to let him play that. Even if you take sentiments out of it, you can expect him to drink from the fountain of youth and be well primed for that game.

Fuck "sentimental reasons." This is why Rodgers probably left Gerrard on the pitch for 120 minutes vs Chelsea, when he was clearly out of gas. I think I remember Rafa subbing Gerrard in the derby in the prime of his career with the game in the balance. Good managers have got to have balls.

Once again, I think Gerrard should start vs Bolton and if possible, get subbed later. He was rested in the last game, now it's his turn to play. He can come off the bench vs Everton.

Did he bring Lucas on who had that shot that was headed for the top corner only for Neville to punch it clear?

Gerrard would be SUPER pumped as its his last merseyside derby. He'll definitely start and should start IMO.

Gerrard needs to start the derby game. He can play about 60 mins today. Hopefully we're a couple of goals infront by that time.

Is it just me, or are we actually back to being frightening and swashbuckling and tough to beat again? Not concerned about tonight as we seem to have developed some balls and backbone. Better late than never.
I was on the Kop when they put us out that time, McGinley etc.
Let's snot them.

I was at that game. Alan fucking Thompson and John McGinley.

I was thinking of the '93 replay when David Lee ran us ragged and McGinely and Walker scored.
Up there with those Wimbledon home losses and the Bristol City/Brian Tinnion nightmare.
*shudders

Liverpool XI: Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Sakho, Gerrard, Allen, Moreno, Markovic, Coutinho, Lallana, Sterling.
Substitutes: Ward, Johnson, Lambert, Henderson, Sturridge, Manquillo, Borini.

Pretty good. Very close to my team, only with Gerrard in midfield instead of attack – I guess it's a good way to rest both Hendo and Lucas. I didn't think of that.

Oh, and Moreno is playing instead of Manquillo. Strange that Balotelli and Lovren didn't make the bench again. I guess they are stuck in the deepest part of the doghouse at the moment.

Lucas Leiva ruled out tonight with a minor thigh problem but he's expected to be fit for the Merseyside derby on Saturday.

Please god we don't have to deal with extra time.

Let's smash these inbreds early.

Only just sat down & read the squad now.

Pretty strong, but we'll miss Henderson. Allen does almost as much running but he's not as good at everything else.

Henderson does desperately need a rest though.

I don't understand why we kept Ballotelli if we aren't gonna play him. I reckon Sturridge might get half an hour or more tonight.

If Rodgers isn't going to rest players for this cup I'd rather we were knocked out now. We're just going to end up getting injuries and burnt out and fail at everything.
