Why do we play these (mind) games with our injuries?

Alisson didn't start midweek as a precaution. To me that means he's probably OK, but we shouldn't risk it, so he'll defo be OK for the upcoming schedule.

We now have another undefined injury for an undefined length of time.

Is it worries about saying it's rona?

Is it supposed to take the pressure off our players to get back fit? If so it doesn't work, it just leaves us asking what's going on all the time.

What's happened to Shaq? Shaqs injury was so secret not even he knew he had it.

Do we actually know what's wrong with Thiago? Out for how many months and they've not said why.

I don't get it. Just come clean. It would be better for everyone

I think, but I'm not sure, it's so it leaves the opponent in the dark. I actually don't have a clue why, but that would be my guess.

I think it's good for us to know, as we like to know about our team.

I don't think it has any negative impact on the opposition. What they know about thiago or any of our other injured players isn't going to help them. Facts like TTA being available at the weekend are actually the ones which might hold dome small advantage if you kept it quiet, but the day before the match, Klopp actually says who is and who isn't likely to be fit.

It just comes across as either a, incompetent that our medical team don't know what's happening or more likely B, a bit childish that we are not more open about it.

I don't think the club are holding back, when Klopp is asked he answers more openly than most. I think it's because we're more medical led than before, recovery takes what it takes and it's not defined by past examples.

We've ruined enough footballers in our time playing them injured or unrecovered for the good of the team, let the medical guys do their thing, let the players recover and use the squad we have. It's given great opportunities to some of the youngsters this season, Kelleher and Jones especially.
