Has anyone got any experience of chasing a bad debt through the small claims court?
My firm is owed £950 plus VAT from a client dating back to November 2016. We've gone through the process of sending three escalating letters but the client has ignored all of them. It's the only bad debt we have in four years and it's not about the money it's the principle that the owner-manager of the client firm is swanning around on holidays while claiming his business cannot afford to pay us.
So is it worth the cost (I have no idea what it is) and hassle of taking this to the small claims court or should I just write it off?
