Fortunately, we don’t give a fuck what you need and know an absolute baller when we see one.
It's unfortunate, you don't see what I see, you see lots of running around and energy but just like so many shitty reds that look for every misplaced touch of Darwin Nunez I see this quite often from the Szob:

1) Giving the ball away and loose passes - he seems a bit rushed at times.
2) Decision making at times is not all that in the final third
3) I am not seeing the goals quantity of top level midfielders just yet.

I want more for 60M - and I deserve more.

And at the same time you think Mr "Hold the ball for no reason" is world class.

His cock has been gobbled by all and sundry, so it's fair to check things a bit.

He's been quite good. There's no question there are defensive questions though. He has done some very risky things without us getting punished, like that little flick that almost lead to a bournemouth goal.

I think we've wanted a decent player like him so much, for so long, that any decent player would seem a revelation. His shooting is pissing me off too.

FACTS !!! - you got eyes, all the others worshipped Hendo for so long or got bullied into thinking Hendo was the best midfielder in history (like Thiago) that anyone who is a progressive passer with skill is like a God in midfield.

Despite me not jumping and wanking off anything good that Szobo does - the most endearing quality he has is his mindset - a clear determination to win games and belief in himself. Those are the sort of players we need in this young team, and he has the skills to back himself.

His most important quality is a fucking inhuman engine. Now we have an engine with real technical ability. There's a massive ceiling there, so I get why people are getting very excited too.

Was about to like this until you mentioned Thiago.
Never put Thiago and Hendo in the same category.

Exactly, one captained is to every trophy you can win, the other is injured a lot.
Mhm, yep he was instrumental. Pretty much Gerrard-esque performances in every final. Even scored a few pens in those penalty shootouts.

Yeah, I'd also pick Hendo over an 11 time league winner and a 2 time CL winner.

No - I was alluding to the fact that Thiago once said that Jordan Henderson is the best midfielder. The reason why people love Henderson is because it makes people feel anything is possible in life.

Kevin Doyle and Shane Long were as close as I got to top level opposition and Shane was absolutely rapid.

You played against them? Who were ya playing for?

for me it was Kenny Cunningham (year older), Mark Kinsella (year younger) in club practice matches and one time in the Cup, Roy Keane.

And not just Liverpool fans. Media, commentators and fans of other clubs too.

Nobody EVER "worshipped" Hendo. What a lot of us did do was defend him and his contribution to the team against shallow knee-jerk criticism from those who failed (or, worse still, consciously refused) to notice his leadership, the fact that he was played out of position at DM for long periods because we had no one better in that position before Fabinho came, and the fact that our manager kept picking him.

Maybe it's theoretically possible that the "Burn Hendo" crew knew better than Jürgen all along. It's also possible that they were a straggly bunch of semi-autists who were too wedded to their own preconceptions about Hendo to actually notice what was going on out there on the pitch while we were winning trophies. I know which option I'd be betting on.

I couldn’t give a toss what Thiago has done before or after Liverpool. When we talk about Liverpool mentioning Thiago in the same breath as Henderson and then claim the insult is on Thiago is disgustingly disrespectful to one of our most successful ever captains and integral part of our most recent dominant success.

Limerick when they played for Cork City(back when they were the best side in Ireland) circa 2004.

I’d nearly imagine Kinsella being the best of that bunch at that stage in their careers. Who were you playing for?

I could give two shits. Thiago is/was a world class player.

They're not even in the same conversation to me, even after the Saudi disappointment.

Thiago is one of the most brilliantly talented footballers we've ever had. He's also barely going to be a footnote in this club's history.

Also, this thread title is a disgrace. Someone edit it

He was a very good player...when fit. But that's the issue isn't it...when fit. When you are looking at who contributed more to the team and helped as win trophy's then sorry but hendo pisses all over Thiago. Thiago's career at liverpool was summed up to me when he got himself injured in the warm up in the carabo cup final against Chelsea. Overall he's career with has been a dud.

But I never said that it was about his Liverpool career. I think it's an insult to compare a player of Thiago's stature to Hendo in general.

Oh great wonderful speech, but what those people are missing is that winning even with Hendo was a difficult task because of his limitations. When you look at the team now - there is a sense of ease in the way we are able to progress the ball and create chances. The only time we ever missed him in truth was when we needed him for those games under Rodgers in that wonderful season but he got sent off against Man City and could not play against Chelsea and I think Crystal Palace. I celebrated when he left knowing that Klopp would finally get a talented technically gifted player to replace him. For the record I had no issues with Milner ( who I absolutely adored), and also Gini.

The year is 2019 and this is our team:

Alisson
Trent
Matip
Van Dijk
Robbo
Fabinho
Gini
Hendo
Mane
Firmino
Salah

You have to remove one player, before the season starts and replace that player with one from this list:

Dudek, Josemi, Traore, Biscan, Downing and Mellor.

Who is your pick?
And we still win the league.
