Sell him and Coates for £12-15m, throw in a few £m more and sign Papadopoulos, and have Wisdom as 4th choice. Just get it sorted lol.
You know who we should sell to Napoli? Fucking Borini. He's Italian I heard, so it makes sense.
I watched the game vs Melbourne Victory in full last night, and I must say the person who stood out at the back was Wisdom.... his timing and ability to take the ball then pass out of defence was very composed.... he's definitely ready for a regular 1st team run.
While I agree with the general thrust of your argument - I really wouldn't be reading too much in to "Norman's" showing against Victory.
I think he's better than Coates, though.

Yeah, it was weird in a way, as he never looked comfortable with the ball when playing fullback. Maybe he simply feels a lot more comfortable in the middle. Or he might get a little more nervous with PL level players pressing him instead of the Aussie league..

I rate Wisdom very highly, and have no problem with us getting money for Skrtl, but we need to get a top CB as the number one priority for this summer. Wisdom should be 4th choice and get cup games.
Personally I think we should just pay the money for Papadopoulos, £18m or whatever it was they wanted. If we've decided he's the one to go for, I don't think quibbling over even £5/6m is worth it. Er, this is on the understanding that we've done our homework on him and his injury etc. I mean, in principle, we should just pay the money.

I hope it isn't a loan deal? It would be pointless. If Rogers isn't keen, get Rafa to give us a decent wedge similar to Albiol and allow him leave.
Skrtel's stock has fallen dramatically over the season. City we're sniffing around and many of us including me we're demanding 20million for him. Now i'd happily take 8-10 million. So what happened? Did his form dip? Did Rogers bomb him out of the side?

.... And then he watched a 35 year old starting in front of him game after game after game. Now we've signed Toure and soon we may sign Papa.
