Keni, I actually wanted your input as you clearly watch a lot of different football.. doesn't anyone come to mind?
I'm not so sure we'd all know (I certainly didn't know about Robben before he came, or Arshavin before the UEFA cup final). Maybe i'm just howling in the wind here, but surely, there is someone out there available (who hasn't been already mentioned here)? The other thread "left-field signing" is probably what i'm getting at here.
Now, I don't watch much French/Italian/Russian football, but surely there is someone out there, of that potential (perhaps not quite there now) that we can still get.
We missed the boat on Arshavin.. is Zhirkov of similar calibre? What's Juan Mata like?

Ive seen alot of Zhirkov and he is very, very good. He prodominatly plays LB or attacking Wing back and is very nifty, likes to showboat and has an exception cross on him.
Juan Mata is another Ive noticed and he is also very good, he is versitile as he covers LW, support striker and main striker, he is quick and has a good shot on him. Going to be one for the future.
I know you didnt ask me but Ive been following these two quite alot. Zhirkov as LB of the euros for me. Mata is one for the future, likes a dive thats his main downfall.

Hey.. thanks, i'll take any opinion.
I saw Zhirkov in the Euros playing LB and whilst he was good, you can never be quite sure on players based on international tournaments (c.ref Spit the Dog).
As for Mata, i don't even know what he looks like. When you say 'quick' he's not just the spanish version of Downing, is he? If he's anything like Vicente (before the injuries) then surely he'd be worth a look?
Also, what's Diego Capel like from Sevilla.. I've heard his name a couple of times. Is he a left winger? Left footed? quick?
Sevilla have brought through some good players in the past (Ramos, Alves, Adriano, Fabiano, Baptista, Navas, Reyes, etc)
I watched Hulk the other week, and in his 2 games against United. That guy has got ALL the raw physical and technical potential. He's fast, strong, great touch, he can dribble (not kick and run).. it's just a shame he's greedy as fcuk and lacks game intelligence. I wonder whether he's young enough to improve still?

Nah Mata is quick, he's got a similar build to Silva (little taller) but looks very good. As I said, he falls over alot but he is defo imo worth a look.
Capel is a bit like Babel for Sevilla, plays lw but a bit of an enigma, in and out fo the team, cant seem to build on what was a promising start. Personally wouldnt go near him til he proves himself but that said, when i have seen him on song, he is very very technically gifted, beats a man, not hugley speedy but very clever and got a good cross on him.
I like Hulk, I really think he is one to watch, he is one footed like a alot of ppl have mentioned but he has a corker of a shot and is very strong on the ball. Temper tantrums seem to be his thing so ould be a risk.
I would love to see us buy Luis Suarez, check him out. He is very skilfull can play striker or lw/rw, has a screamer of a shot. Down side is he is playing in Holland and we all know how hit or miss those boys can be.
