i think we'll just about do it, just because none of the others are at all convincing either, least of all City.

i reckon spurs are the biggest threat, i think they're the best team of the 4 if they get their first XI fit. if lennon and defoe get back on form then i think they'll push us closest.
Lennon has got himself injured again and won't be back for a bit.
blooming excellent news, was that against wigan on that pisstake of a pitch?
No, he strained something shaving gangster patterns into his pubic region.
But would that be funny if Lennon were white? Hmm?
Only if he had the "Scarface" lines shaved into his eyebrows.

We'll get fourth (or maybe even third).

I can see us go all the way in Europe as well.

United won't win anything.

I'll laugh.

And then, next Season....

You might be right, but I do wish people wouldn't tempt Providence by saying this.

If I recall correctly, our Great Dane has a habit of doing that 😉

Or is that Hansern?
Don't draw Hansern in to this mate.

That's me alright.

Us, primarily because of experience secondarily because SURELY we must have a good patch this season when we are actually playing somewhere near our potential.... i still believe we have the best team out of those mentioned.

that makes you sound almost Cromwellian.

Citeh got done 3-1 by Stoke tonight.

Adebayor sent off.

Reported "bust-ups" with Mancini.

They fuckin' uuuup !

Yeah if City get 4th we may never get a look in again for a long time. Villa ideally. Maybe Spurs.

I said City last week and im more convinced of it since they Mullered Chelsea and we got dry humped by WIGAN......FUCKING CUNTING WIGAN!!! Nadir.

I'm actually more sad than angry or pissed off after watching that shite tonight.

Cause it wasnt really that big a shock.

I said City. I'm surprised so many said Liverpool to be honest. Why, I ask you, why ?

What possible rationale could lead so many of you to such a decision given the evidence before you ?

Has KHL been spiking people with his blind optimism potion again ?

I was surprised by the results of the vote at the time too. There's been no sign that we'd get 4th all season. No basis for the optimism at all.

I said Spurs.

I expect us to be in 7th by the time we play next with Villa having thumped Stoke by at least the single goal it will take to go above us with two games in hand.

I expect Spurs to be 4 points ahead of us when we next take the pitch and City to be the same but with a game in hand.

I still think Villa will stumble as the finish line gets closer. To me the big match is going to be City against Spurs in a couple of weeks. I hope Spurs win that and knock a little confidence out of them cause I think Spurs are the more erratic and could easily drop three matches in succession.

Unfortunately, Brendan's scenario is just as likely.

If City beat Sunderland and Spurs I think they'll just about take it.

PS. What a sensational title race - we really should be a part of what could be the most captivating title race since that 2-0 against Arsenal.
Oh and weve still got Chelsea and Man Utd to play.

We're fucked.

i think we've 100 percent blown it. we're the fuck do we go from here? do we sell torres and gerrard and rebuild with a new manager?

Fucking right we are. We're fucked and it's our own doing. We've not played well ALL season. All fucking season. I can't even count five games we've played OK (not even well, just OK) this year. Forget about 4th place. And forget about the Champions Leage. And forget about winning the shitey Europa losers cup. None of it is going to happen. Time to face up to it.

What's worrying is where do we go from here. The owners don't give a shit. They're just out to rape and pillage the club. The manager isn't up to the job. The players don't appear to give one fuck and they're as culpable as everyone else in this scenario. I'm desperately grasping for a glimmer of hope on the horizon and it's hard to see it.

The only solution I have at the moment is to keep repeating the word "twat". I've no idea why and it's not helping me any but , when deliberating the current situation of Liverpool, it's the only word that keeps coming into my mind.

Twat.

That would be suicide. We have the players to be doing better than what we are. We just need to play the right ones in the right positions.

I don't agree with that last bit Sheik. Ferguson played Michael Carrick in the fuckuing hole at the weekend? Two months ago he had him at centre-back. No manager in the league shuffles, rotates, and changes their team more than Ferguson, but he gets results.

It's not about playing players in their specific position in my view. It's about having (getting) better players. Benayoun, Babel, Maxi, Riera, Lucas, Insua - they'd be squad players at the other top 4 clubs - they're regulars for us.

i agree, ryan.

would you sell torres and gerrard to fund a rebuild if we ended up splashing our summer budget on the removal of rafa?

No Skully. We're going backwards as it is, we don't need to fucking shoot oursleves in the foot even further.

Besides, as others will vehemently point out - trusting Rafa with a wad of cash mightn't be full-proof.

Sorry Skull. I'd give the Manager another season.
but 'what if?'

Ryan, apologies if I'm wrong but I think you said we'd get 4th. Do you still believe this now?
