if we don't then it will really take it's toll on my commitment.

LOL !

We are cause we are, alright ?

This.

Sorry Oncy, I don't want to get into a detailed discussion about it, because missing out on CL football just seems unthinkable.

City will pose the biggest threat, IMO.

What makes me feel we won't get fourth is that we don't seem to be improving at all. It's bloody frustrating. Saying that, Torres becoming math fit and STAYING FIT (crosses fingers, toes and all extremities) could be the difference.

We'll get 4th. At our best we're better than the rest of them (Citeh have the potential to overtake us but they're a long way from realising it). None of the others are consistent enough to stay ahead of us, even if they poke their noses in front for a spell here and there - witness the fact that, despite playing like drains, we're still right in the mix. Now that our big guns are coming back as well, I'm cautiously optimistic.

If we don't get 4th, I'd prefer Villa to get it.

They have the least potential to build on it.

I'm saying Liverpool.

I can't think of anyone else taking it. If it happens, I'll cross that bridge when we get there.
Id like Villa to get it if we don't. Good club who've kinda done what I wanted us to do signing quality young English talent.
Young, Agbonlahor, Milner, Delph etc will be quality for years to come.

Man City have tons of money to buy players to build on it Keni.

I think you misunderstood my post.

Nope. I completely misread it. Oops.
Ha so did I. Surely the stories of Spurs financial meltdown are just round the corner now.
Redknapp at West Ham - Relegation and administration despite selling Rio, Cole, Carrick, Defoe etc
Redknapp at Southampton - Relegation and financial ruin, then more relegation.
Redknapp at Portsmouth - err ruined.
Redknapp = Epic fail.

Yep. All of this.

City are the biggest threat in the long term, obviously, but they're far from convincing at the moment, and I think Torres coming back, along with Yossi and Magic, will catalyse the team - and Gerrard in particular. I can see us winning 8 or 9 of our remaining eleven league games.

I wish I had your optimism Bunny. I just can't see us winning that many.

Yup.

Randy Lerner is rumoured to be pulling the plug on spending.

I wouldn't be surprised if City, Villa and Spurs finish above us.

We have too many shit players in the first XI and squad

If City finish 4, I really think Mourinho will go there in the summer, which really will make things difficult for us.

I think we will finish 4th simply because its too depressing to consider otherwise

Which Liverpool players would you get rid of come the summer Brendan?

This is what I believe too.

If we can maintain a fully fit squad I think we may just grab 4th place. Lose either Gerrard or Torres for a prolonged period and I think we'll miss out. I think we'll miss out.
