Set piece coaches

I was about to comment on this last night. That Arsenal set piece coach coming up to the sideline when there is a set piece like the Macho man walking up to the ring in the WWF. Get to fuck. Stay in your place.

The Arsenal fans chanting "Its Jover" as Arsenal get a set piece. Please make it stop.

We scored 2 from fast breaks off failed corner kicks by Villa.

Forget about scoring, that setpiece coach needs to be worried about his job based on that alone.

It's why I thought the camera showing Villa's set piece coach going full Pep on the touchline was hilarious

Snap into a Slim Jim - OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH

Every elite team is looking for an edge. It makes perfect sense set piece coaches are getting attention esp with Arsenals impressive return. Nobody cared when it was fat Sam and Bolton.

We could do with a set piece coach as with Virgil, Ibu, Nunez, Gakpo, Gravy, Dom we have some very tall & physical players and should be threatening more.

Agree with how ridiculous it looks.

At Arsenal it’s LOL because most of their threat is set pieces and i think it makes Arteta look even more impotent. His job is to get his players to win FKs in the channels, usually through going down too easily, then the set piece guy takes over.

We did, but when we got a throw in he wasn't strutting around, the cameras never zoomed in on him and the Kop didn't chant his name.

I honestly don't see anything wrong with it. Just some in-game coaching.

You’re missing the point - it’s not the set piece coaching or coaches that is the issue - it’s this thing where they suddenly jump upand take centre stage in the technical area - that didn’t happen under Fat Sam at Bolton, because they were just another coach sitting on the bench.

I think it’s great we have specialist coaches trying to eke out every advantage but the touchline antics is just nonsense and serves no purpose whatsoever.

It does allow us to take the piss out of it though, and I'm all for that.

Although Austen McFee cut his coaching teeth for Norn Iron under Michael O’Neil and was part of the coaching team that got us to Euro ‘16.

Whatever happened to Will Grigg!!!! Is he still on fire?

I have no issue with getting an advantage with set piece coaching or other ways that you can get an edge over your opponent. But the way Arsenal are all about set pieces and this guy running to the sideline like the main attraction is just ridiculous. I agree that it makes it even more fun to point out to Arsenal fans though, but it is awful to watch.

It was fucking hilarious that Villa's set piece coach and Iggy Pop lookalike was getting his groove on before their set pieces, and then we score two goals from them. Loved it.

Not gonna lie that was pretty funny.

One set piece coach who should be strutting on the sidelines is the one at Bournemouth

I saw a popular reel the other day and it was a guy celebrating like mad and losing his shit with the caption:

'A set price coach when their 6ft 7 CB scores a header off a basic corner'

Safe to say it's been noticed and hopefully they'll me memed hard enough to stay seated.

Let them have their moment. Who gives a fuck.

Can you beleive it ... the Villa guy got his face on MOTD in the background, that long hair, he looks fucking crazy, maybe they are all crazy...look how Arteta is screwed up now, rather than play football, he advises using shithousary and set pieces as a means to scoring, and general attacking.
