'I think that's the one thing missing from his game' Keown says of Ozil's finishing. No, Martin. OZIL is the one thing missing from Ozil's game.

Honestly can't remember a worse individual performance from a center back that this from Luiz.

Sometimes you have a nightmare and nothing goes your way.

Then you have Luiz, who plays like a managers nightmare naturally a lot of the time but usually does so in a dominant team full of top teammates, consequently he gets away with it and people seem to buy into his skills

Wenger must have abused Ozil, as he's a shadow of the player he was

Brazil.....

'Suddenly, German joy turns to embarrassment when elderly Brazilian fan Edison Sanchez forgets himself and runs on to the pitch shouting 'I'm Joseph Goebbels, and my lads have given you Wyrstchen a hell of a beating!!!'

The Germans looked like the ones who had lost the semi final at the final whistle there. All glum and apologetic.

I did feel a bit sorry for Cesar. His eyes seemed to be welling up when Schurrle hammered the German's last one in, and he looked as if he was crying out, "What the fuck have I done to deserve this?". Maybe could've done better with the first save in the sequence leading to Klose's goal, but through no fault of his, he's had to pick the ball out of the net seven times.

Shocking studd from Brazil. Perfect had Luiz still been with Chelsea. How the hell did they manage to flog him off for 50 mil

Are you all really surprised by that result - it was coming. From the moment Big Phil selected that shit squad you knew something like this was going to happen. There was no talent in that team - and it kind of made me mad because in the back of my mind I kept thinking about the game we lost to Chelsea - all those cunts were on display for Brazil tonight and how easy it was for Germany to just pick them apart. The miracle of that Brazil side was that it got this far - despite playing with 10 men, yes 10 because whoever counts Fred as a player or even a team member is deluded - I mean what was the point of him - they may as well have stuck a lamp post and it would have been more effective.

For years they have produced some outstanding players that you suddenly see at the world cup and you think yea shit - lets buy him, but you can't really say that this world cup can you ? - because most of them are just European rejects. Hulk ? - Arsenal thought Nah, Oscar ? - Chelsea wouldn't mind letting him go, Neymar ? - shit for Barca - the list could go on. Hopefully Brazil will realize that in order for them to remain as the spiritual homeland of the beautiful game - they have got to stop selling of their best players before they reach puberty. As I had said before - the team is the worse Brazil team since 1950.

I feel sorry for Germany in many ways - because they may come up against a decent side against the Netherlands/Messi - which means that this result may not register in history as well as it should do. It is a false result for Germany as it does not tell us how good they really are due to the poor nature of this Brazil side.

They are probably quite happy to be fair

Yes they are tonight, but I have seen them struggle in this tournament - remember the Ghana game ?, then the USA game ? then Algeria ?

it has not been easy against teams that have some sort of discipline and pace up front. So in comparison to what they faced today which was the highest degree of NON DISCIPLINE - they may have raise their game 10x to face the finalists.

Before the match, William Hill texted me an offer of Germany to win and both teams to score, at 11/2. I put a tenner on it.
By the time Oscar scored the late consolation goal, I had completely forgotten about the bet. How delighted I would have been if I had remembered it!

😀

I thought Marcelo was the only player on Brazil who had any fight in the first half, but it's pretty difficult to make a difference from LB, while the rest of your back line is nonexistent, and receiving no cover.

Bernard seemed to be getting a ton of touches in dangerous areas, but had a lot to do, against talented defenders. I'm not sure how his club season went at Shakhtar, but he looked very good at times.
