Appaz.......

Clubs increase the highest paid figure year on year, its just part of football and nobody at Utd maybe bar Pogba can ask for parity.

I'd have thought the man who's single handledly (no pun intended) rescued them countless times this last few years would be first in line...De Gea.

Of course they give a shite. Several of the other players have appaz asked for a increase in wages.

This isn't going to a problem just for Utd though, is it?

There is a chance that a couple of deals like this pushes wages up for other clubs too.

Ha, Keepers for some reason never seem to command the same fees or wages as outfield players.

Not yet but I bet De Gea will change that soon...

Presently he's on 200k. More than double Salahs. In the Utd squad only Sanchez and Pogba get paid more.

It's crazy how long it took to break Buffon's transfer fee from Parma to Juventus - which was Ederson to City.

I'm not entirely convinced Ederson's fee will be outdone by Madrid in their attempt to lure De Gea.

They've never really spent big in regards to their defence - and it would be more beneficial for Florentino Perez to bring in someone like Hazard/Griezmann than forking out a large fee for a goalkeeper.

I think Madrid will make a play for Courtois and if that fails they go after cheaper options like Kepa (Bilbao) or even Allison (Roma).

He is second only to Suarez in the way he creates his own chances in recent years. Mourinho will play his usual safe and boring football, but he has added someone who could create them something out of nothing so they have strengthen significantly no doubt.

This is going to be the new norm; players running down their contracts to ensure they get the fees and not the clubs. Re-signing mid-contract will become rarer for the top players.

Can is currently doing it to us, they'll be more, and worse, to come.

Out of interest - how do United do it? Constantly spending huge money on transfers and even more absurd wage levels. Surely it can't be sustained?

Apparently their squad is the most expensive ever assembled. And surely their wage bill is the highest in the history of football.

Is their merchandising that good?

What needs to happen is a high profile case of someone running down their contract sustaining a career ending injury in the last few months. That’ll send a message out.

That's part of the upside of selling your soul to the devil ... the downside is on its way, and it will be terrible

15million signing on fee for the greedy bastard, Wenger has said in this mornings papers he’s only gone to Utd for the money, no shit Sherlock

They are the richest club in world football now surpassing Real.

Add that to the crazy new money in TV deals and they will be fine

Would it be wrong to wish a Rondon/McCarthy injury on him? Actually I wish that on all them cunts. And Mourinho too.

I love how people are calling him greedy for demanding £15million and £450k a week from United, as if he's holding United over a barrel or something. That's how much he wants to earn to play for that shit hole, and that's how much they're going to pay. I'm also loving the people in here who are trying to downplay how good he is, he's a superb player, bested by only a couple of players in the league, he'll do a fantastic job for United. Fortunately he's not the missing piece in the jigsaw for United, and it's more of a slightly diagonal move for him, because he'll become the main man once again, digging them out of situations trying to paper over their more obvious gaps, in my opinion he's moved from a demoralising frustrating squad, to a squad with the same feelings, just not on the same level.

I'm not worried about Sanchez signing for United. He's good rather than great for me.

His best season at Arsenal was obviously the 16/17 one when he scored shitloads of goals and had double digit assists. But the odd thing is he was also one if the more wasteful players in the league too. Giving away the ball more in the final third than anyone else.
His underlying metrics such as expected goals suggested there was a huge amount of luck involved and that the season wouldn't be repeated.

That's probably going to exaggerated by his move to a much more defensive side.

I think people are underplaying this. Are we talking about the same Sánchez here?

He’s fucking fantastic. On top form he’s in the best 2-3 players in the league.

This significantly improves those cunts.

Yep, I don't really get the notion that he'll be a back up or whatever, he's exactly what they lack really. A bit of class up top who will work his bollocks off across the front line and will bring everyone else into play. Lukaku is a lazy cunt, but he's worth having for the 20 tap-ins he'll score against the dregs of the league, so to then add a forward who gives you something akin to what City get from Aguero, or Barca from Suarez, it's a frightening prospect ahead of the rest of the season and next year.

Yeah Sanchez is an excellent player. No idea what will happen him at United but there is no disputing his talent. It's a real shame United have signed him. Fingers crossed it all goes tits up.

Yeah I’ve been reading a few different comments across the net asking “where are they gonna fit him in with the likes of Martial, Rashford, Mata already there?”

Erm, they’ll fit him into the side every single week and the rest of those cunts will be cleaning his boots.

What gaps they are now strong all over the park. They have a very well balanced squad and will challenge for the league next season.

Proper gutted they've got sanchez as he's a superb player. More likely a front 3 of martial, lukaku and sanchez i'd guess.

I've no doubt he's comfortably a class above, but you could then argue that morale might dip because popular members are getting shunned, or because of financial reasons.

He will improve them, but could cause some issues behind the scenes was all my point was

I think some on here are looking for crumbs of comfort from this deal, other than silly wages there isn’t much downsides. The total overall package for sanchez is not far off what we are paying for vvd. Great signing for united and he can play in the champions league.

That is what happens. And he still need the team to perform. If that dressing room isn't splitted in a week with greedy cunts and jealous cunts on each side I will be very surprised.

So you think he automatically goes into their best eleven?

He could save Hartlepool single-handedly simply by giving up half of one week's wages. Then again, who'd want to save Hartlepool. Peter Reid went there last week to show his support and before he knew it he was being dragged to the beach with a rope around his neck.

I hear ya but he might also become very popular when his team mates realise they can pass him the ball and watch him create chances out of nothing for them. He worked like a dog for Arsenal before it turned sour so he might still be what we'd call a Mourinho type player. Pogba and De Gea might be able to call rank and demand a pay raise but I'm sure Mourinho will pay it if he wants them to stay.

As I said, fingers crossed Sanchez is back defending for 90mins, falls out with Pogba, falls out with Mourinho, gives the fans the finger, smacks Bobby Charlton, gets injured, takes a shit on Eric The Red or whatever he is called.

I didn't know they were struggling. Would that annoying prick Jeff Stelling not save his beloved team?
