Well, after a panic-stricken first 10 mins we did at least manage to neutralise Utd for most of that half. They looked almost as blunt and clueless as we did. Unfortunately the summit of our ambitions seemed to be keeping the ball in and around the centre circle, presumably in the hope of running the clock down and getting a goalless draw. Now that tactic's been exposed for the optimistic stupidity it always was, we need to do something radically different in the second half. Y'know, like the wingers making some forward runs occasionally. The odd shot or cross or pass behind the defence. Because this is just horribly reminiscent of our performances at Old Trafford early in Benitez's reign, where we'd dominate possession, create nothing, and lose 1-0.
